Momotaro's career path seems to be drifting from "hero of folklore epics" to "publicist of latest military technology"

This felt like a Syfy channel original movie.

A Japanese samurai time travels to the future and helps out a submarine battling a regenerating alien shark.

This should be the synopsis. 👍 haha
It's natural for a person to deny he's a failure as a human being. That's why he searches for somebody who is more miserable than himself. That's why so much animosity exists on the internet. Those who aren't able to find a more miserable person, turn to the internet and call other people losers, even though they've never met. Just to make themselves feel superior. Isn't that pathetic? There's a sense of security that comes from speaking badly of someone else. But that isn't true salvation. — Tatsuhiro Satou

You should add that the shark could fire torpedoes through it's mouth.
This was a very funny short.

I try to take in consideration the time in which older animations were made.... but honestly this one was horrible. It was so bad that I couldn't stop laughing through the whole 2min of it. Seriously absurd. And the music.... omg... I feel bad for the person listed in the credits for it. So silly.

This is the first time that I've seen Momotarou being a true hero. From what I've seen previously, he usual lets his animals take all the glory and that is usually seen as cowardice. But he proved himself in this one and slayed a shark with a katana.

Overall bad black/white visuals but the story was good although it was short. 5/10.

I'm conflicted about this. In a way it's incredibly interesting seeing Momotaro and his friends becoming basically a government that decides interventions through parliamentary discussions (lol), on the other hand the reasons why this change from "folk hero" to "man of state" started to happen is pretty obvious and, well, terrible obviously. Guess from here this journey in archeo-anime will start become a little more disturbing at least til the end of WWII

@Aki-kun Thanks for sharing. Hmm, shouldn't the anime entry's duration be changed from to 2 min. to 10 min. since the one from the National Film Archive of Japan has around 10:32?
