The animation studio changed almost everything. The opening and ending songs are much better than the anime one but the ova itself isn't. |

| Reiji's a high school graduate who already has a future (an university to go to). He's so young to travel alone. Scythe master in this OVA has no glasses (wow, I thought the voice sounded similar, and it was Fei Wong from Tsubasa, too! AHHHH~, I hate you Feiwong!). |

| Compared to Requiem, it's crap. The character design sucks, and same goes for the animation. Reiji and Elen lost all their charme. Yeah, the OP/ED themes are nice, but that's it. |

| It wasn't bad, this being first adaptation of Phantom of Inferno VN though it's clear they changed a lot of things. But I played the game some 5-6 years back and don't remember it clearly. One thing is certain - I didn't get the vibes of replaying it, characters felt very flat almost like it was wholly different killer movie (their designs are kinda off too). But I can't say it was all bad. (guess I gotta watch anime after this, I am really curious how exactly they managed to animate one of Urobuchi's masterpieces) |
| I actually liked how compact this first ova episode was, while being different than the tv series this one still had some quite nice impact! |
