Our Story
What could have caused such a catastrophy? A meteor was heading straight for earth, due to the size of said meteor people could only survive by going underground in safe havens. This left humans in a horrible state as most of the population could not go in said safe haven's due to there been to little room, this resulted in most of the population dying. Because of the meteor being filled with radiation, it killed most of the animals even after impact. Resulting in massive death, the animals which remained would now live in a Survival of the Fittest for all the years being exposed to the left over radiation. Making disfigured animals and those animals which got the best out of those random mutations survived. And because radiation takes a very long time to go away this was enough time for the world to have so drastically changed. Verdeau Fallout Shelter is the last remaining shelter after all these years, it was a shelter built with the intention of housing the unnatural people from at the time, this was done so to get only pure blooded power wielders to at least have guaranteed powers, so that when they had to go outside they would have a way of protecting themselves. It is hidden under a crumbled village close to the forest of Lankhmar. This is where the survivors start their life story full of terror from this changed world. And now that the supplies are finally beginning to run dry they will have no choice, but to go outside. I remember it like it was yesterday I stood in the cold with my family around me, I was the youngest child of the bunch, but I remember it clearly. The defeat on my parents faces as the military wouldn't let us pass to the Verdeau Shelter, I could still hear the sobs from my mother as she begged them to take the children. I let out a small cry when my father picked me up and turned from the Shelter, knowing the safe haven was not where we were going now. The tears streaked down my face without my knowledge as I watched countless races being turned down also, some cried out while others stood in shock. I could hear sobs from my brother below me now, what little composure he had been broken down, just like our mother. I tried not to look at them for it made me want to cry harder, but as I looked down at the ground, my eye caught something strange. It took my small mind time to process it, but the red had been the give away, for there was blood covering the ground. Not only that but people where stepping over dead bodies on the ground, as if they weren't even there.
