Information Welcome to Avia, a world far different to the one you may know. The history of Avia is lost to most of its inhabitants (though it may be revealed as the plot progresses), but there are a few basic truths that all the residents know. Long ago, the land was barren and harsh, cold, with no advancement or community. All beings struggled to survive, so there was no room for them to grow. One Av strove to change this. This Av worked day after day to dig deep into the earth, the source of all life, to find what made plants grow. After many life cycles of continous labor, the hardworking Av reached the center of the planet and took from it the Kor, rising up now as the Great Ruler. The Kor has the power to harness and condense Li, the energy that all things produce, to make it take the form of Lo, which is malleable and useful. When the Great Ruler touched the Kor, it is said that she changed from an ignorant wanderer, to an enlightened being. In her infinite generosity, the Great Ruler shared the Lo with the other beings that inhabit Avia, and they too became enlightened, though not so much as the Great Ruler. The Kor chose which species developed the most, and the Great Ruler has seen through her wisdom which are superior. Since then, the Kor has been used to develop an advanced society and community, to enhance the land and grow as all beings desire. And with society, came order.
The Species and the Social Order
The social order of Avia is based quite simply on the species of a being. Those who are ranked above another species have the right to command lower species to do what they ask them to, similar to how in a high school a senior typically has the authority to boss freshmen around. However, things can be taken much further, especially if the gap of authority is large. The Av: The Av are the ones who found the Kor and currently possess it. As such, the leader of the Av is also the leader of all society, known as the Great Ruler. They populate the Tower and surrounding areas The Incas: Incas can see the Li flow with their compound eyes. It is said that by understanding the Science of Li and the way it flows, they can better utilize Lo. As such they are considered to have high value by the Av, and are given large supplies of Lo in order to invent and build new creations. They live in a large community to the east of the Tower. The Krak: Krak have always shown loyalty to the Av. They are also the strongest and most durable race. They live in a large community to the west of the Tower. The Aa: The Aa are thought to be the least notable beings, as far as the majority of other species are concerned. They have a slight tendency to keep to themselves and work in their own heads. As such they were simply paired up with the Cil, who rarely talk anyway, and given land to the south of the Tower. The Cil: The Cil are strange beings, often hard to understand or relate to. Though they contribute to society, they are hard to work with. They live with the Aa in a community to the south of the Tower. The Fi: The Fi do not take orders well. The Fi do not cooperate with others. The Fi do not strive to improve Avia. As such, the Fi are not relegated any rights, or an area to populate. Some wander, but many set up a village south of the Cil and Aa, living in tents. Beings are made of Lo, a special form of Lo, but Lo nonetheless. When Lo is destroyed, it becomes Li again, invisible, and flowing. Because all Li ends up with the Kor to become Lo again, that means that the Av can reincarnate any being, as they control the Kor. So death is only a temporary state, but how long it lasts is dependent on the Great Ruler. In other words, if a being defies the natural order of things, or picks a fight with the a species ranked above them, they likely won't be reincarnated. Keep this in mind when given an order. 1. No godmodding. 2. In OOC, remember to remain polite and cordial. 3. Each player may create and control two characters. 4. If you are going to be absent for a while, please make sure your character isn't interacting with others. 5. Don't rp in two threads as one character at the same time. 6. Considering how reincarnation works in this rp, I really don't mind if you kill other characters without his/her author's permission. However, it's still a big deal. You will need an admin to review it and get his or her permission. If you do have the victim's permission, there is no need to contact an admin.
