His parents had been top scientists in the Momentum project in Satellite. However, after the experiment took a horrifying twist and they were killed in the result, Yusei continued his life in Satellite. Looking up to Kiryu Kyosuke as a big brother figure, he stood alongside Kiryu, Jack and Crow as a member of Team Satisfaction. But when Team Satisfaction broke down, Kiryu and Yusei were left standing on opposite sides as his former friend revealed himself to be a Dark Signer. After surviving a brutal defeat at Kiryu's hands, Yusei is left hanging onto life with a piece of debris impaling his waist. Crow moves Yusei to Martha's where his injury is looked over. Aki's father, Hideo Izayoi, arrives after the incident at the Arcadia Movement, pleading for Yusei to help his daughter. Reluctantly, Yusei heads back to Neo-Domino while trying to confront his fear of the Earthbound Gods. The Signers head into Satellite after a day where thy're confronted by Rudger, leader of the Dark Signers. It's then that Yusei learns this man was his father's assistant during the MIDS days. But the duel takes the most sinister turn when Martha is sacrificed to Rudger's Earthbound God and Rally is forced to do the same to save Yusei as Rudger switches places with the boy. In their sacrifices, Yusei's resolve to take out the Dark Signers strengthes. The Signers split up and head out for their respective targets. Yusei watches Rua/Ruka and Crow's duels against Demak and Bommer before coming face-to-face with Kiryu once again. When Stardust and Ccapac Apu clash, the ground beneath Kiryu becomes unstable and Yusei tries to save his friend, reminding Kiryu of the time when he saved Yusei. To spare Kiryu a grim fate, Yusei calls upon the power of the Crimson Dragon and unites the Birthmarks on his back, calling out Savior Star Dragon to finish off Ccapac Apu. Kiryu's spirit is put at peace and he vanishes in Yusei's arms, who promises to fight on for his lost friends. As a result, Yusei races off to face Rudger at Old Momentum. Rudger is quick to summon Uru in the duel, bringing Yusei's lifepoints down to almost nothing. Confident he can't lose, Rudger speaks of the past between himself and Yusei's father - Hakase Fudo. Hearing everything Rudger has to say, Yusei fights back with Stardust and destroys Uru, winning the duel. But Rudger warns Yusei of the King of the Underworld before self-destructing, taking out the bridge. Crow, Rua, Ruka and Ushio can only watch as Yusei plummets into the swirling Momentum that Rudger has claimed to be Hell's Gateway. Yusei wakes up in Hell, encountering souls lost to Zero Reverse who attack him. At the last moment, he's rescued by his father who leads him to the living world. Reunited, the group head to the Lizard Tower in an old amusement park called 'Monster World' where Yusei is confronted by Divine. Lured into a trap, he and Mikage risk drowning until Ushio rescues them. Determined not to allow Divine to control Aki, Yusei confronts him who admits to killing Misty's brother, Tobi. Having used his Duel Disk to feed the confession to Misty, Yusei and the others watch as Ccarayhua eats Divine. As the duel ends, the group realises they're too late to close the Door to the Underworld as the Condor Geoglyph appears in the sky. The Crimson Dragon transports everyone to Neo-Domino where they find Godwin, who proclaims that he wishes to welcome the Underworld King to Earth with a ritual that requires a Signer as a sacrifice... Yusei, Jack and Crow - the surviving members of Team Satisfaction - confront Godwin in a 3-on-1 duel. Godwin, having fixed his brother's Signer Birthmark to himself, collects the Birthmarks on his chest, opposite the Condor Birthmark. He then proceeds to unleash his own Earthbound God - Wiraquchasca/ Wiraqocha Rasca. Crow sacrifices himself to protect Yusei from the God's effect, with Jack falling not long afterwards, leaving Yusei to face Godwin alone. Able to break through to Godwin via the bonds that they have been clinging to, Yusei is able to overpower the Full Birthmark, and is granted the Dragon Head, passing his Tail onto Crow. The Full Birthmark appears on Yusei's back, allowing him to draw Savior Dragon and summon Savior Star Dragon to defeat Wiraquchasca. The Crimson Dragon then takes Yusei and Savior Star as avatars and ploughs into the Underworld King. Yusei finds himself inside the beast, with Godwin and Rudger one last time. They restore the Dark Signers and the Crimson Dragon unleashes its power in Savior Star to destroy the Underworld King. In the aftermath of the battle, the City and Satelie recover, a bridge around Daedalus is built, connecting the two and the Signers, ex-Dark Signers and their friends move forward into a bright future.
Season 3

Six months later; Yusei, Jack and Crow are working on improving their D-Wheels for the upcoming WRGP. A menace called Ghost has been destroying D-Wheels and when Ushio falls, Yusei takes him on, learning of the new terror - the Machine Emperors and the Synchro Killer techqniue. Not long afterwards, Yusei is kidnapped by another team, hoping to recruit him for the WRPG. Aki and Mikage catch up to him and break him out before another D-Wheeler appears, Yusei rides out with Aki clinging onto his D-Wheel. They learn this new D-Wheeler is a French woman called Sherry LeBlanc. She's after Yliaster, blaming them for the death of her parents and wishes to also recruit Yusei to her team to overcome them. As the duel reaches its climax, the group responsible for kidnapping Yusei appear, driving their lorry over the edge of the bridge in an attempt to prevent Yusei from joining any other team. Aki, using her powers, summons Stardust Dragon, stopping the lorry, which interrupts the duel, leaving Yusei and Sherry without a result, but tying a bond of comradeship between them. Yusei continues to be haunted by his duel with Ghost and Wisel, he and Jack try to find a way to duel without Synchro Monsters, unsuccessful when Yusei is too shaken to continue the duel. At a promotional party to celebrate the upcoming WRGP, Yusei meets with Dark Glass, who claims he can't win against the Machine Emperors in his current condition, and teaches him about Accel Synchro. After the events, Yusei helps Aki become a D-Wheeler and build a D-Board for Rua identical to the one that Ruka received from Lucciano as part of his trap. Not long afterward, a man without memories, yet possessing impressive skills in mechanics, called Bruno appears. They finish off Yusei's engine programme which is then stolen by Jeager. The duo, with Jack and Crow, hunt Jeager down, then the focus of trouble's falls on Jack. - Crashtown - Following the incident of the Ghost-Jack Riding Roid, Yusei travels to Crashtown where he learns Kiryu has been since leaving Neo-Domino. Kiryu has chosen Crashtown as a place to die, which Yusei refuses to allow, so joins the gang opposite Kiryu's - the Marco Family - and takes on Kiryu after learning the rules of the town. Yusei wins the duel against Kiryu, but fails to save him when Barbara betrays him, reducing him to laying ont he ground as the war comes to an end with the appearance of the Marco Family's hidden ace. Barbara and Malcolm toy with Yusei over how he's been deceived and have him taken to the mountain where defeat duellists are sent and have collars around their necks that shock them by control of the triumphant duellists. He and Kiryu are set to work, but Yusei quickly puts together aplan, using a nail he picked up earlier to unlock the collar around his neck. Kiryu grimmly accepts his fate, forcing Yusei to desperate measures to get him out. They arrive at a graveyard where those who have died in the mine have been buried, there they meet up with two kids, Nico and West, who have taken Yusei's D-Wheel from the corrupt town. Yusei takes on Lotten, who uses an explosive to cancel the Riding Duel when he faces defeat, throwing Yusei and Kiryu into a canyno while he takes the kids back to Crashtown, renamed 'Lotten Town'. To win back the town's freedom, Yusei and Kiryu confront him in a 2-on-1 duel. Lotten draws 10 cards to compensate for the lack of a partner and begins his strategy. Kiryu's lifepoints are wiped out, but he reveals his plan - he doesn't need lifepoints, but will be forced out if he gets enough Death Counters. Using Infernity Death Dragon and Stardust; Kiryu and Yusei gain the upper hand, but Barbara tries to force their hand and surrender by threatening Nico and West. The tactic is brought crashing down by the appearance of Jack and Crow. Lotten tries to flee as Team Satisfaction reunites, Yusei allows Kiryu to use his D-Wheel to chase after Lotten, finishing the duel with his victory. The town is renamed 'Satisfaction Town' and Kiryu plans to stay to care for Nico and West. Finally able to part with their friend on good terms; Yusei, Jack and Crow head home. - end Crashtown - Once back, Yusei and Bruno meet with Ushio and Mikage, who reveal they've found nothing on Bruno's missing background. Whilst on their way to leave, a bomb threat is made and a device is detonated, trapping both Yusei and Bruno in the elevator. When they manage to get out, they investigate, meeting with Sherry and her butler, Mizoguchi. Bruno follows Sheery while Yusei is forced to stay behind and duel Mizoguichi. When the duel ends, they hed off after Bruno and Sherry, finding them just as a strange light from Sherry's Z-ONE card engulfs them, capturing Yusei in its brightness and transports them to another place. Yusei notices a strange bein with an eye watching them, what happens after is vague and the three black out, waking up on a shore later. The WRGP begins, Yusei and Bruno's engine programme is fitted into Team 5D's D-Wheels and their new Riding Suits are completed. Team 5D's find themselves up against Team Unicorn first, champions from another continent who have already sporn a friendly rivalry with the group.
Season 4: WRGP

With Crow out, Jack, Aki and Yusei are the D-Wheelers to face Andore, Jean and Breo. Despite their best efforts, Jack and Aki are unable to get past Andore, leaving Yusei to face all three on his own. With the hopes of Team 5D's on his shoulders, he races off with Stardust and overcomes Andore and his Tunder Unicorn. Breo, who follows, plays a Deck Destruction strategy, reducing Yusei's deck to a minimum to face Jean with. Yusei is able to hold out until his deck runs out of cards when he uses the effect of a new monster in order to save himself and Team 5D's from defeat. At the last second, he makes a decisive play that throws 5D's out of the jaws of defeat. After celebrations, Sherry appears and discusses the matter of Yliaster while Bruno is away. Team Catastrophe injure Andore, Jean and later Aki by using a Card of Darkness, provoking Crow to join the team despite his injured arm. He and Jack are able to overcome the team. With the match over, Placido launches an army of Ghosts int Neo-Domino, forcing a massive Battle Royale. Yusei and Jack, aided by Sherry, Mizoguichi and Kazama, lead the effort to defend the City against the invasion. Placido takes it upon himself to target. Bruno hears the voice of the being inside Z-ONE and become Dark Glass, joining Yusei to take on the leader of Yliaster while the Infinity Circuit nears completion. He guides Yusei into Clear Mind where he finds a tablet like those of the Infinity Machine Emperors, when he touches it, he returns to Z-ONE, meeting the being that claims he's unlocked an alternate possibility. The Accel Synchro card is mostly blank, leaving Yusei to head back into Neo-Domino without his new monster completely unlocked. He faces Placido when Dark Glass' duel with him is interrupted by Ghosts. Placido combines with his D-Wheel to Yusei's horror and is quick to summon Machine Emperor Wisel. When Yusei tries to Accel Synchro Summon, Placido disturbs him with claims that he'll unleash the same power as Zero Reverse and tear apart the City. Despite his attempt, Yusei fails. Wisel captures Stardust while Yusei becomes more disturbed by the duel and his inability to do anything. His friends call to him from their various places and their Birthmarks combine after Yusei regains Stardust. Stronger than before, Yusei finally Accel Synchro Summons his newest creature - Shooting Star Dragon. Having surpassed the Synchro Killer, Yusei takes out Wisel and unintentionally destroys half of Placido, who is left hanging above death. Jose explains the meaning of things and receives his Machine Emperor, while Lucciano taunts Yusei, claiming 'your curse isn't over'. They return to their unknown lair with the remains of Placido. Once he receives an e-mail from Bommer, Yusei leads Jack to Peru where they hear they must find a new way for Jack to fight before he is killed. There Yusei witnesses Jack's own Accel Synchro born from stealing the final Earthbound God, with the new creature, the team have a renewed hope of succeeding against the Machine Emperors. It isn't long afterwards that Yusei, Bruno and Sherry go to investigate the Infinity machine that is claimed to use Momentum to travel far beyond. Yusei plays with Clark in a Concentration Duel to cover for Sherry and Bruno, but is discovered to have been recognised long before. The three aim to escape, but find themselves trapped in Infinity and sent into a desolate world, losing Sherry on the way. Yusei and Bruno return to Neo-Domino, mourning for Sherry. The WRPG resumes with Team Taiyo, a comedic team who summon a creature said to parallel the power of the Egyptian Gods against 5D's - the Sleeping Giant Thud - and push them into a corner. In the end, Yusei is able to overcome them using Shooting Star Dragon. After the match, it becomes clear that the spiralling structure Yusei and Bruno found in the reddened world is intruding into theirs, poking through the sky and only visible to the Signers. Afterwards, 5D's move on the face Team Ragnarok, who claim they can stop Yliaster, under the alias of Team New World. The three riders of Ragnarok summon out their Polar Gods, using the power of thei Rune Eyes against the Birthmarks of the Signers, they corner Jack, Crow and Yusei with little hope of winning. In the end, Yusei manages to summon Savior Star Dragon to bring an end to their campaign against Yliaster. With the Finals looming, the team brace themselves for the final battle and focus on the invading structure learned to be the Ark Cradle - the lair of Z-One, who Yusei, Bruno and Sherry have already encountered. The match begins with Jack against Lucciano. Despite having Skiel onside, Lucciano loses easily to Jack's cards and Placido takes over; not happy about Jose's plan, Placido plays his part and loses equally quickly. With just Jose, Jack feels confident that he can take down Yliaster's last front, only to be overpowered by Jose's Machine Emperor Grannel, who absorbs Scar-Red Nova Dragon. Jack is brutally beaten and manages to stay conscious long enough to hand the 5D's tag to Crow, who races out with a heart burning to carry on where his friend left off. Despite his best efforts, Crow suffers equally and surrenders the rest of his lifepoints for the sake of getting Black Feather Dragon onto the field for Yusei to take over. With his friends in mind and the future of Neo-Domino on the line, Yusei races out for the final fight. Against Jose's impressive force, Yusei fights with Black Feather Dragon and Shooting Star, only to discover something more horrifying than he imagined. Jose shows the Signers and their friends the world that the Tenors come from; the distant future destroyed by Momentum where only Jose, Bruno, Paradox and Z-One are alive. Bruno and Paradox died before the work the four began was completed and it wasn't long before Jose also passed away. Jose, Lucciano and Placido combine themselves to reveal their true identity; an android named Aporia after their original self. Yusei is stunned by the revelation and faces the most powerful of the Machine Emperors - Cubic. Through the City, the two D-Wheels race, with Yusei aiming to get Aporia out of the City before too much damage is done. He leads Aporia over Daedalus and into Satellite, where there are less people to get in the way. After a tense battle, Yusei manages to fight back with Scar-Red Nova, Black Feather and Shooting Star - holding the thoughts and hearts of his friends - to toppled Apoira, who crashes off the Satellite shore and sinks. Yusei, joined by Jack and Crow during the duel, return to the Duel Stadium where everyone celebrates. But just as quickly as everyone believes the City is safe, the Ark Cradle smashes through the sky and reveals itself to everyone.
Season 4: Ark Cradle

Despite the belief that if Aporia was defeated, the Ark Cradle would vanish, it's revealed by Bruno that in 12 hours, the Ark Cradle will fall and completely annihilate Neo-Domino and Satellite, Yusei then recognises something hanging from the spiralling lair, which turns out to be the original Daedalus Bridge, to everyone's horror. Momentum is cut off, sucked into the Ark Cradle and draining the City, Team Ragnarok reveal that the Signers have the power to bring their D-Wheels back to use them without needing Momentum. The group decide to head off, but Sherry contacts them through Yusei's D-Wheel, claiming that if he goes to the Ark Cradle, he'll die, making it clear that she is siding with Z-One after finding herself in his lair. Despite his friends' fears, Yusei decides that he has to go for the sake of Neo-Domino. He tries to sneak away from the others, recruiting Bruno and Team Ragnarok to help him reach the Arc Cradle with the power of the Rainbow Bridge Bifrost. As he prepares to ride up Daedalus and to the wrecked future Satellite, the others arrive, insisting they won't let him go alone and remind him just why they formed Team 5D's.With a renewed strength, the team rides towards the Arc Cradle. As the group work their way up towards the Arc Cradle, Team Ragnarok's D-Wheels are overworked and break down, draining the bridge of its source. Yusei slows down to help Aki and Ruka when it becomes clear they won't make it. Yusei calls forRuka to jump to him in order to lighten Aki's load. Ruka jumps over, into Yusei's arm and he pulls her aboard his D-Wheel. Bruno, having become Dark Glass, appears and races up to the two D-Wheels, creating a slipstream for them to follow, saving them at the last minute and getting Aki aboard the Arc Cradle. A pit opens up beneath everyone and drops them into the bowels of the city, Yusei lands with Bruno and heads off with him with no way to reunite with the others immediately. When Yusei and Bruno reach the final and remaining active Planetary Gear, it's there that Bruno reveals his dual identity following the return of his memories. Under his original name of Antinomy, he swears that he is Zone's ally and an enemy of Yusei, which the latter struggles to deal with. Antinomy proposes a duel, which Yusei has to accept with the fates of everyone weighing on his shoulders. Antinomy creates an orbital stage; a golden track encircling a star and claims the loser will be kiled by it. Still struggling to deal with the fact that a good friend has turned against him in such an extreme manner, Yusei duels valiantly while Antinomy looks back to the future world he travelled back on. It was there that Zone, seeming to have taken Yusei's form, rescued him from death and gave him a reason to live. Despite the form he took, Antinomy holds nothing back, determined that he should win over Yusei to prevent the destruction he witnessed being repeated in Yusei's world. It's once he's focused solely on the duel and having justified himself to Yusei that Antinomy carries out the Delta Accel Synchro to form his strongest creature, the power enough to detonate the star the two race around, with the result being a black hole that will swallow whoever loses. Despite struggling with the fact that he's facing a friend, Yusei fights back with Shooting Star with all his might, reduced down to 100 lifepoints and finishing the duel with Stardust Mirage to defeat Antinomy, who falls back into the black hole. Unable to escape in time, Yusei is also swallowed by the darkness and does what he can to save Antinomy, reaching out to him and calling him a friend. Antinomy feels better about having been around Yusei and, fighting against the collapse of his Delta Eagle, charges at Yusei's D-Wheel with his last strength, pushing Yusei through back to the Arc Cradle, each D-Wheeler yelling to the other. Yusei crashes back onto the platform he had been on with Bruno before the duel and finds no sign of his friend. The damaged visor that showed one of Bruno's eyes after the duel's end lays on the ground, breaking Yusei, who sobs over his dead friend. The Signers meet up ahead of confronting Zone, who is fixed atop a mountain of trash. Yusei angrily challenges him, furious that he would sacrifice his comrades and the City in order to 'save the world'. Aporia appears and takes Yusei's place. He stands no chance and suffers a brutal defeat. In his dying breaths, he confesses he wasn't aiming to win against Zone, but show Yusei his strategy and passes on a power that enables Yusei's D-Wheel to fly using large red wings that sprout from the front wheel. Jack, Crow, Aki, Rua and Ruka give Yusei their respective Signer Dragons and he takes off to face Zone. Within his first two turns, Yusei manages to summon Red Demons, Black Feather and Black Rose, activating the latter's ability to the shock of everyone else. Through his Synchro Halo, he protects his field and reduces Zone's lifepoints significantly, throwing him into a building of the Ark Cradle. The people of Neo-Domino watch from the ground as Yusei strikes with cheers and hope that their city can be saved. Zone, however, appears quickly afterwards and the left half of his mask breaks away - revealing an older version of Yusei himself. The truth is revealed that Zone actually recreated his body identical to Yusei's, even making his clothes, cards and D-Wheel, in order to give hope to everyone left in his time. Once he took on Yusei's form, he showed the people Clear Mind; a chance that they could live even with the Machine Emperors in their world, lifting Zone's spirits. Until Momentum exploded, leading the Machine Emperors to attack people. A fissure was opened and swallowed dozens of people, Zone reached out for a women, but failed to save her. A blast threw him over a nearby slope, knocking his helmet off and damaging a metal plate over the right side of his face, containing all his data on Yusei; which shattered his belief in Yusei and Synchros. From there, he changed his attention to the past. Yusei summons Ancient Fairy against ZONE'S five-strong force of Time Machine Gods, only for it to get removed from the field just as his other friends' dragons. When a blast heads towards him that seems certain to finish him off, he summons Power Tool to save himself. As he prepares to make use of Rua's dragon, the Ark Cradle's tip brushes against the KaibaCorp building, rubble begins to fall onto the city, a small boulder crashing onto Yusei's wrist and knocking the card he he was holding away. Flying through the debris shower, he manages to catch the card again, only for a larger piece of rubble to hit him and knock him from the D-Wheel. As he falls, everyone can only watch in horror as he plummets towards the City, seemingly unconscious. From Old Momentum, a light shines and travels towards the City, engulfing Yusei and creating an illusion; placing him in the middle of a sea of sand where he meets his father again. Full of doubt, Yusei confides his fears in his father, who slaps him to knock sense back into him; through his words, Yusei regains confidence and wakes to find himself still falling. His D-Wheel reaches him and, back in the duel, he moves on to face ZONE once more. With Rua, he summons Life Stream Dragon and uses a combination of effects to return Red Demons, Ancient Fairy, Black Rose and Black Feather to the field. Realising what he must do and thinking of everyone who is depending on him, Yusei heads towards the sky, soaring through the atmosphere and to the space above Earth. The powers of his friends combine and their six Birthmarks form the full Birthmark on his back, their emotions pushing it further than before and manages to turn Yusei completely gold. For them, he tunes all their dragons with Life Stream to summons Shooting Quasar Dragon and return to the battlefield between Neo-Domino and the Arc Cradle. With his Over Limit Accel Monster, Yusei fights on against Zone, using the combined powers of his friends' dragons to smash through Zone's Time Machine Gods and reduce his lifepoints to a minimal amount. With the Trap card Clustering Wishes, Yusei literally pours the attack points of the dragons into Stardust, taking on each God acting as a shield for Zone's strongest monster; Ultimate Temporal Machine God Sephiron with 23,000 ATK. Even with them gone, Stardust has a massive amount of power, and, thinking of everyone whose lives he has affected, light pours in around the world to the City, Yusei makes his final move, screaming to his dragon to protect the present so the people of Neo-Domino can build a new future. Zone's lifepoints fall to zero and he crashes. The Ark Cradle stops, but also begins to dissolve because of Zone's imminent death. Yusei travels into the centre of the Ark Cradle with the Momentum core in sight, but Zone appears and tosses Yusei away, wanting him to get out alive and instead sacrifices himself. Yusei is left to race for his life. Around him, the Ark Cradle dissolves until it vanishes completely; the others fear for the missing Yusei until he is spotted flying towards them from the sun, calling to them that he's back.
Epilogue

A few years after Zone's death, Yusei is a scientist working in the footsteps of his father. Together, they duelled various gangs until they had claimed dominance over Satellite. During the last duel in Section “M”, Yusei was dragged to the edge of the roof of a building using the cord connecting his Duel Disk to his opponents and forced over the edge. His saviour came in the form of Kiryu and his own cord, almost dropping to his death with Yusei. Kiryu had put his life on the line. Tensions began to swell in the team afterwards. Kiryu was beginning to get carried away when he duelled a child that Crow had let go instead of duelling, provoking Crow and Jack to leave the team. Only Yusei remained by his side. Together, they witnessed the arrival of Security D-Wheels in Satellite. Kiryu proposed attacking Security; something Yusei couldn’t agree with and left the broken team, pushing Kiryu over the edge. Word of Kiryu's attack had spread to the other members; Yusei followed Jack and Crow into heading back to find Kiryu. Together, they confronted him, but Kiryu had been driven mad, certain that his friends had come back to reform Team Satisfaction and ready to take on Security in one last duel. Security charged in to attack the team, forcing them to flee sepratel. Kiryu was confronted by an officer on a D-Wheel, managed to get upon the back. Yusei witnessed the wild D-Wheel racing down the street until it crashed. Kiryu, unharmed, attempted to beat the officer to death, only for Yusei to force him away before he could. With Security lurking around, Yusei told Jack and Crow to look after Kiryu before appearing in the spotlights of Security claiming to be the team's leader. But Security had already seized Kiryu by the time Yusei had told the officers to arrest him instead. Seeing Kiryu, he yelled to the officer close by that they were wrong, insisting that he was the leader. As Kiryu was about to be forced into the van, he noticed the officer patting Yusei's shouder; mistaking it for a thanks from the man when he was simply offering his condolances in believing that Yusei would never see Kiryu again. The leader screamed out Yusei's name, catching his attention as he asked if Yusei had sold him out. Yusei protests that Kiryu has gotten the wrong end of the stick, but Kiryu is thrown into the van and the doors shut before he could escape. The van departs, leaving Crow and Jack alone with Yusei who cries to the sky.
------------------------------ Preview(s)

149 - The Revived Hero 150 - Feelings Entrusted by My Father 151 - Clustering Wishes 152 - Moving Towards the Future 153 - Clashing Souls! 154 - Shining Forth to the Future (Finale)
Duel record

Wins - 32 [Latest:ZONE] Loses - 2 [Latest: Kiryu] Team 5D's Wins - 5 [Latest: Team New World/Aporia] Loses - 0 [Latest: N/A] Current / Next opponent - ZONE / Jack (R4) ZONE -- YUSEI 0 --LP-- 2000 8 --SPC-- 1 Manga Duel record Wins - 4 [Latest: Mukuro Enjo] Loses - 2 [Latest: Aki]
------------------------------ Manga

In the manga, Yusei remains in Satellite with a Marker slightly differing from his anime Marker. His deck has been altered and a new threat appears when an associate of his - Sect - is captured following a Riding Duel between the two of them. During the Riding Duel, Yusei feels the overwhelming presence of the Skeleton Knight and suffers physically from the attacks dealt, finding himself in a whole new experience. But Yusei is able to attack the Skeleton Knight, forcing him to stop his horse. Sect explains, according to the manga's rules, that the halting of a D-Wheel - or the Knight's horse in this case - means that Yusei wins by default. As the Knight vanishes, Yusei asks what his name is, but gets no answer. Then he focuses on Sect, who is far from alright. In the City, Godwin explains to Mikage that Jack has journeyed to Satellite ahead of the D1 Grand Prix. Jack attacks Yusei as he tries to get Sect help, forcing him into a Riding Duel where Yusei's attention is divided. Jack summons his manga ace monster, as Sect falls from Yusei's damaged D-Wheel, Yusei dives and protects him as Jack delivers the fatal blow. Yusei and Sect both hit the water while Jack assesses Yusei's last face-down card.Yusei gets Sect to the hospital and begins to work on repairing his D-Wheel, despite the doctor's suggestion that he should rest. When thinking about what happened between Jack and himself, Yusei yells out in frustration just before Jeager appears with an invitation for Yusei to participate in the D1 Grand Prix. Shortly afterwards, Aki Izayoi appears and challenges Yusei to a new type of Riding Duel, where she easily defeats him and leaves him more eager to face the challenges lying in the D1 Grand Prix. Yusei is first to duel in the tournament against Bommer, but doesn't appear until the last minute. Bommer summons his powerful Fusion monsters against Yusei, who struggles to defend himself while the others watch on, Sect arrives, clutching the card he woke up with. Yusei overcomes Bommer, then learns his next opponent is Mukuro Enjo, who tampers with Yusei's D-Wheel to keep him from going at full speed and then plans to use the manga-verse race victory requirement to knock Yusei out of the tournament. Yusei struggles to keep up with Mukuro, but somehow manages to push his D-Wheel beyond its limited speed with his Feel, pushing him across the finish line first. As of Ride 016
10th Anniversary: Super Fusion! Paradox then travels back in time to the world of GX, using Stardust to attack Judai / Jaden Yuki. Yusei somehow follows him back in time and forges an alliance with Judai before they travel back further to meet with Yugi Muto in the original Domino City. There they plan about how to take on Paradox before they confront the man who claims that their deaths will protect the world from destruction. His main target, however, is Maximillion Pegasus before he can create the Duel Monsters card game. The trio - Yugi replaced by Yami - activate their Duel Disks and begin their battle against the man who has brought them together, aiming to regain Stardust and to put an end to Paradox's scheme.
