I'll try to post some simple lessons, mostly based off my Japanese for Busy People (revised 3rd edition, Romanized with a free CD!). Please keep in mind however that I AM a beginner too (a beginner who needs to repeat half of her beginners course! *cries*) So I will make mistakes. Sumimasen! I hope lots of beginners can meet and join forces and maybe some higher levels can come and show off... erm I mean help out! I don't really care for rules but I'll add some when I think ones needed. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <u>Rules</u> 1. If you use any Japanese that hasn't been explained please try to explain it, or at least translate it. ^.^ -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Show your support... if you want. <!--link--><a href="http://myanimelist.net/clubs.php?cid=641"><img src="http://img234.imageshack.us/img234/8971/japlangcp8.jpg" border="0"></a> Join... Hi all,
I have been learning Japanese for a while, my level is intermediate (certainly not a beginner but again not an advanced learner either...) and i was hoping to find active Japanese learning discussions (even some small talk threads) - sharing new covab and grammar notes they have just learned watching anime. After a quick search, roughly all clubs are inactive but this is the biggest one i found so i write my message here...
i would like to join such a community, actually this may be the main reason i joined this platform. So, if you know an active community please quote/PM me :)

@DreamingBeats > "if it's ok with you, i can try and communicate, though my level isn't very high and will make mistakes."

Thanks, i'd really appreciate that. \(≧▽≦)/

My level isn't that high either, in fact i'm pretty rusty. I'd describe my level as floating between beginner and intermediate. I've mainly been focused on reading Japanese rather that actually speaking it, so I suck at oral communication. I may have forgotten some stuff, but if I have someone to use it with, it will compel me to get seriously about learning again.

Gotta say though, it feels really eerie seeing all these inactive accounts that don't come on anymore...

@DAIO this club is dead. no-one, not even the original club owner himself, comes here. you can try:
http://myanimelist.net/clubs.php?cid=39937
for fun and giggles, though the Japanese level used is not very high (except for the few cases where fluent speakers like ap19 and dmrch post). the club itself is semi-active.
there's also
http://myanimelist.net/clubs.php?id=5821&action=view&t=comments
where people post questions and use a higher level Japanese, though these days it's pretty much dead. fluent speakers / natives moved to a private forum, where everyone knows the language well. if it's ok with you, i can try and communicate, though my level isn't very high and will make mistakes.

Hi. Is anyone here learning/ is interesting in learning Japanese atm?

I've been learning on and off for over 2 years now and i'm looking for someone who's interested in learning/practicing Japanese. I keep losing motivation since I have no one to practice with or to act as like a "rival" that I need to compete against. So i'm looking for that "someone".

If anyone's interested PM me or sumn.

My friend is building http://www.tehJapanesesite.com Check it out if you have time.

When you sign up they have a free Hiragana deck for you to jump into. I like it because I like action and practicing over rreading charts

Also anime flashcards!

tbh we may be the only ones checking this club. all the officers quit a long time ago. the creator probably doesn't even remember this club - that is, assuming he/she is still in the living world- bless his/her soul.

if you want to learn the language, i recommend trying the two other clubs,
which are fairly active:
部活 (for having fun with the language)
Japanese Language and Culture Club (for serious learners)
