I agree with your assessment. Club and site activity has generally plummeted since Discord started, and MAL site had their site issues. I just started getting back to clubs again and noticed my old way of activity is really not what it can be now.
If you do start up games again here, I hope the activity will be low-effort and simple enough to keep up with.

Hi @phraze

The games here in the club were definitely the best time. I never really liked the site, it had cool features but lacked in heart and Identity. Losing what was essentially our home, that we build over a couple of years was a bad move. I also think the move to discord had a similar effect.

Our community worked because it was closely knit, but still open to new people, and we always had anime as a base theme to build upon. We started off as a group based on playing just mafia, but imo we grew into a lot more as shown by our events, watch parties and all the other stuff.

Now we have basically nothing, and that hurts me a lot. I feel I lost a lot of myself because of that. I don't have the confidence, and self belief I once did. I feel like I mattered here, and not felt that way in a long time now.
