I think making the "gallery" is a good idea - we should be able to be proud of the length of our comments. ;) And, I think it will be great to have a "documentation" of our achievements :P

And of the counting the words - I don't remember if the Word has the option of counting the words. I bet I have used it a few times in the past - but I don't remember it clearly. Anyway, AFAIR, we should be able to check it in Word - and only remaining work is to delete all emotes - and I don't really suppose it will be a big deal ;p

There isn't any prize in the end? :P You're wrong - there is a prize... And it's a cookie. I wonder, if winner will be able to receive it undamaged - but in my opionion it doesn't really matter. I think we should have done competitions once - but the topic should remain also after the deadline. We will be able to challenge other users in the length of our comments... Of course, we won't be able to win a cookie if we will write after deadline - but I'm not sure if anyone writes only for cookie :P At least, I would like to write despite the end of the competition - just for fun.

Oh, I'm not sure if I will be stressed because of lossing the competitions. I don't risk my life, my future etc. - I can lose only one cookie... I don't mind cookies - but I don't have to have this one. At worst case, I will be able to complain about the rules of this tournament - and I will have an opportunity to write the longest comment ever... So I will be satisfied. ;)

And I thinkt the formula of this competitions isn't important - what's really serious is to force other members to write something ;p Our goal is to revive this club and write some long comments - and it is not to find the best way to organize competitions on myanimelist. I suppose, we should just wait - it is meaningless to organize anything, if other members won't respond.

Well it's true that some people might be visiting this clube more to be able to read those comments, But I think it should be somehow archived, so that a few months from now we'll be able to go there and read those long comments... As a kind of "gallery" ;P

Yes, the thing with emotes/number of words - I agree. Altough there's one huge problem with that, namely - who's going to count those words? Somehow I feel weak even thinking about it (And we're not talking about comments such as those here - We're talking about comments with x times 10 number of lines (Dunno 'bout you, but I certainly have written some of those in the past... ), so you can imagine it would take long to count those words even in a single comment, nevermind several of those...

As for the "deadline"... I wonder... We could make it without any deadline (Try to post a longer comment than the rest), as it has no real prize in the end... But the I think it would lower the interest and that "contest" feeling, so it might be undoing the work to revive the club.

As for what you said about being able to complete the task after it's really needed... Isn't it partially stress? And then there's the same thing as with searching for something you lost - no matter how hard you try to find something you need, you won't be able to find it, only to stumble across it when you don't really need it anymore :P It could be pretty similar in that aspect >.>

In my opinion, repeating sentences shouldn't be allowed, too. But, I think, we shouldn't make too much useless rules - I hope Shizuku can judge, if the comment is wrong.

Although, we must to discuss next thing - how do You define the length of comment? I'm not of opinion, that e.g. "Yes, I like this one, too." and ";-) Me too. xD :P " have the same length - so, the next rule You should add is "The length is defined as the number of words the comment has." - to prevent some kinds of coments' victory. I know, it's obvious too, but it's better to explain what kind of comments you expects ;)

And, I think, the limit of one comment isn't good idea. So, I suppose, there will be some amount of time to write these loooong comments - but in this case, there won't be good idea to place my link until deadline. Basically, I can write longer comment just after placing my link... And it will be serious mistake. (and I hate this kind of mistakes - e.g. on the previous Mathematical Olympiad I solved the problem... After I had finished writing it - and it made me really annoyed...)

I know, it will be possible to wait until deadline - but I don't think it's good way to revive this club. If You want to have more comments, You shouldn't make the rule of "only one link". It would be great, if I could challenge the longest comment, despite the fact I had placed my link ;)

But I disagree with Maurox in the matter of placing links. This competitions should promote the interest in our club - so it should be natural for us to watch the comment shortly after placing it ;P

Huh, I've already written about my ideas - so I don't think I can make this comment any longer...
