When we first heard about Brawl, we were ecstatic. Drastically improved character and stage roster? All right! Full-length single player adventure? Perfect! Online play? It can't get any better! However, upon the launch of quite possibly the most anticipated game on the Wii, we realized that we were sadly mistaken. A new and "improved" physics engine that makes gameplay slower and less exciting. The removal of advanced techniques like wavedashing and L-cancelling. Mediocre online play lacking a decent ranking and matchmaking system. What was there to love? Nothing. Our beloved Melee, truly a gem among 2D fighters that shone with it's unique and compelling gameplay, has become a mere party game. So, this is a club for those who believe in the superiority of SSBM over SSBB. A club for the dedicated gamers that understand the value of competition, who understand that gaming can have incredible competitive depth without sacrificing casual fun. It's a club made by SSBM fans, for SSBM fans.
