Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire RP

As well, don't feel obligated to stick to the canon 100%. If you want to RP in locations that aren't from the books/show or want a title/rank that breaks canon, it might be able to work. <span style="font-size: 123%;">The point is to have fun<!--size--></span>, so go ahead and we can make corrections afterwards.</strong><!--size--></span> <span style="font-size: 115%;">So! There’s kind of a different format than usual in here. There’s only one RP thread. The way you’ll know where people’s characters are is by them tagging their locations at the head of their posts (in bold text, preferably). It’s not as confusing as it might sound, and it saves us from having a hundred thousand dead threads that people have to sift through to find the one they last posted in before inevitably getting tired of searching and just teleporting their character to a new place and dropping whatever plot line they had going wherever they were. It also makes it so everyone can be on the same page and know the current state of affairs of all the stuff happening in the story. You can find the current list of locations in the Locations thread, and you can post in there if you want to add a location that’s not already in use. Now read the rules.<!--size--></span> Rules: -Read the rules. -No being OP. -No sex in the comments. -Don’t use the RP thread to cyber, you perv. Heavy implications and lead-ins are fine, but keep the bump and grind for your dream journals you slack jawed neanderthals. -Killing is allowed, but at least try to let someone know you’re planning on offing their character. Unless they’ve been inactive for a while or are doing that kind of “soft” god modding where they have their character do insane things because they think you’re obligated to ask before mincing them. In those cases, go right ahead. And seriously, feel free to kill people. Given the source, material it wouldn’t be authentic if everyone’s characters were just... being alive all the time. But in the same vain, make it make sense. If someone’s character is pivotally involved in some sort of important plot that affects several others, don’t just appear out of nowhere to slice them because lol Yolo. -Keep only two characters tops at once. It makes it easier to manage for everyone. You can always have a character die if you’re bored with them or have a new idea. -Now this rule, please follow this one. Try to format your posts in traditional prose. That means to write them like how a book is written: quotation marks for dialogue, paragraphs and complete sentences for inner monologue and descriptive action, etc. Everyone has their own writing style, but it makes everyone’s time more enjoyable if things are uniform and easy to follow. But if you honestly can’t get your posts out in that format, fine, just make sure they have some sort of logical flow and consistency. -Read the thing in the Locations thread. -Make your posts relevant. “*Hugs* ‘You okay?’” is not a relevant post. Just put a little thought into it. Maybe a line of dialogue and two or three sentences worth of description. Nothing big.
