Watch for free. Support the shows you love. Repeat.
*Q: What is Anime Sols?
A: Anime Sols is a streaming and crowdfunding platform for anime. At Anime Sols you can watch and stream anime for FREE. You can also pledge money to help produce a physical DVD a la Kickstarter-style with incentives to pledge more money.
Japanese companies are working together for the first time to directly deal with the west. (Primarily Tezuka Pro, Tatsunoko, and Studio Pierrot)
Anime Sols is providing subtitles to anime both officially and, for some, the first time ever. For shows already officially subtitled on sites like Viki, Anime Sols will be providing brand new translations. Anime Sols' dedication to subtitling classic anime shows help get classic anime as well as anime never before seen by the west subtitled into English.

*Q: Why not just use Kickstarter?
A: Kickstarter isn't optimal for a business to rely on. Kickstarter takes 5% of any project and Amazon takes 5%.
*Q: How am I suppose to trust this strange, new site?
A: You may be familiar with the subtitling and streaming work of the people behind Anime Sols and have not even been aware of it, because they provide subtitles for Crunchyroll and several other official home video media released to English speaking countries.
*Q: I don't live in America, I can't pledge?
At this time Anime Sols cannot license these shows in places outside of the U.S. because of licensing agreements(ie. anime companies like Tezuka Pro signed away licenses FOR LIFE around Europe in the 70's) However, you can pledge through a trustworthy American or order the DVD after your show meets it's goals and gets produced.
*Q: What in the heck does the "Sols" in Anime Sols mean?
A: "Sols" in Anime Sols is a portmanteau of a word. Sols, as in the sun and Sols in katakana means source, as in anime from the source. (Anime Sols is based in Japan)
