Another Anime i suggest is Another, its personally one of my favorites so yeh try it in the begning its slow but it does get faster in later episodes.

I know it's a long series, but it's not really plot driven. You can watch an episode or two every now and then :]

Gintama is good because it has variety. The action is good and during the serious arcs the fight scenes are well done. There is a variety of humor ranging from anime and video games to perverted jokes. The sad times will make you cry. The cast is huge and many likable characters. And in the end morals and life lessons are learned.
