Man, it's too bad the original group isn't active on here anymore. I would be, but since I moved to Washington I stopped being active for obvious reasons (I'm still in the group primarily for nostalgia). I highly recommend the members who are trying to have meetups just PM each other to set something up; it doesn't seem that most of you are checking the group often enough.

Seriously, don't be scared to message a stranger on here and ask to meet in a public place! The IRL meetups started because I messaged the other guys and asked to meet them individually at malls and stuff, and then we all hung out together (of course, I found out later that they already knew each other!!!). If I still lived in the area I would love to have meetups, but I'm on the other end of the country now. Just message each other! The worst that happens is that they say no. :D

I have no interest in IRL meetups, and never have. When creating this club, I simply never made the logical conclusion that like-minded people in a local area would want to meet. All I wanted for myself was online chat.

My reluctance to meet others was a reason for this club's initial spike in activity, followed by an absence of leadership and a gradual falling away of active members. There was also a considerable disconnect between club members meeting up, and others (mainly myself).

I am a very private person. I don't use or rarely use Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. I almost always use assumed names for online chats. I've never met people over the internet in real life, and have no plans to do so.

This club sorely needs new leadership if it is ever to revive. Preferably someone socially outgoing and capable of organizing meetups and events.

This club is open for adoption. If you want to be an admin here just contact me and consider the club yours (not mine).

I know this group seems kind of dead, but I only just recently moved to the dallas area from elsewhere in texas and I actually know 2 of the members of this group IRL through super smash brothers tournaments lol

I get to go down to Houston for New Years! Exciting since I didn't think I'd be in Texas again for a very long time. Sadly I won't have time for Dallas...but someday I hope to make it back.

FYI, I updated my profile to say I was searching for a Seattle meetup group, and referred to my Dallas group as "the coolest people in Texas." Cuz it's true.
