Dual! Is obviously a parody of Eva (among other series it seems to referance). If you have seen Eva, you can truely enjoy this series.

MC isekai-d from our world to a parallel mecha-apocalyptic Earth, met alternative versions of people he knows and claimed a harem of kawaii girls. Simply put, Dual is a spirital ancestor of Muv-Luv Unlimited/Alternative, but without their deepness and drama.

Guy activates powerful technology that only women could operate. Both lead to the main character becoming a pilot. Both also have romance involved in the storyline.

Both animes share an almost similar plot, although Dual Parallel! has a more comedic and light atmosphere whereas RahXephon leans more on the psychological and dramatic side. Both animes share awesome looking mechs and a variety of your typical yet awesome characters in a would-be sci-fi/mech series.

The main characters of both series are very similar, except for the invincible bad luck of Yamada "Lorelei" Seina. Besides that, these two causes a lot of trouble which make you laugh at each episode! For the fans of harem-style that like sci-fi, you must try Dual! too! Romance, comedy and amazing mecha battles awaits you! And if you watched Dual! and are looking for a reason to watch Tenchi Muyo GXP, maybe you can spot an old mecha-friend in the last episodes of this series...

Both series contain the theme of mecha battle involving women with dominant roles as the pilots. Both series contain comedy (more so in Dual), action, drama, and also some tragedy.

Similarities - Both MCs are sent into another world/dimension - Both MCs interact with a female MC who is the primary cause of being sent into another world - Both MCs are the typical shounen character, overoptimistic and juvenile demeanor - Both MCs become engulfed in a war/feud and are the only ones capable of putting a stop to it - Both new worlds the MC finds themselves in are dystopian barren lands that become that way due to conflict Differences - NTHT story introduces many controversial topics (slaughtering villagers, kidnapping, power abuse, child soldiers etc) VS Parallel is more about mecha fighting to protect the previous world and some comedy  read more

Both of those are about a young man who never rode a robot but accidentaly or for a unwanted purpose got into it.

Both made by Masaki Kajishima....SERIOUSLY, fuse Tenchi Muyo and Evangelion and you have Dual Parallel, that's as blunt as it gets.

Similarity : + "parallel world" is exist + In the beginning story MC forced teleport to another parallel world and later treated as "savior who will bring victory" Different : + Dual Parallel have harem element & set in modern day + Escaflowne dont have harem element & set in ancient time

Both animes takes place in a parallel world where the protaganist has to pilot a mecha to fight in order to get themselves back to the real world they believes in.

Fuzzy physics (time travel vs parallel worlds), mecha, unique protagonist (only male that can pilot mecha vs universal coupler), underwhelming odds against superior empire, brainwashed female lead

If you like stories about parallel worlds/realities like the ones in Noein, so you must try Dual! too. We can't compare the two storylines at all because Dual! is a comedy series, but it's highly recommended to relax a little after the intensity of Noein. A good point in my opinion are the mechas on Dual!, they're cool! In short, both animes have the same theme (parallel realities), but with a totally different development and outcome.

I started watching Linebarrels and all i could think about was how I've seen most of it already in Dual Parallel! Trouble. just to note a few similarities (there are loads) the mechs in use are reverse engineered from Original mech that appeared from another dimension/world. the most powerfull mech is an Original thats piloted by the main character, has unmatched strength and power output, can be summoned by the user, has the ablity to heal, can teleport between dimensions/space and are the only things with a finishing move powerfull enough to defeat the big bad at the end. main lead is a school boy that is soft and  read more

From the same Creator (Masaki, Kajishima) and the Tenchi Series. The Comedy is the same, like the other series that Masaki created. It's definitely good to relax. Also if you have ever watched Evangelion or/and a Tenchi Muyo anime than you'll like Dual Parallel! Trouble Adventures, as it's a parody of Evangelion in Tenchi Muyo or rather Masaki Style.

Dual has the same underlying storyline of a displaced main characters that ends up in an alien environment. What makes Dual so interesting is that the cast ends up in a parallel universe where all the character's counterparts have slightly different personalities than what they had on Earth. This spawns a great deal of situational comedy while cleverly interweaving romance into the story.

Both are about a kid who gets sent to another world and ends up fighting in mecha. They are also special because male pilots are rare/unheard of.
