Chibi Maruko-chan

Both Chibi Maruko-chan and Crayon Shin-chan revolves around the daily lives of a youngster (Maruko-chan being a 9 year old and Shin-chan a 5 year-old), including their relationship with their family and friends. They are also both funny.  

Comedies with nostalgic vibes revolving around the daily lives of an elementary schooler (Maruko is in 3rd grade and Watabe is in 4th grade). They also take place in the past (Chibi Maruko-chan takes place in the 1970s and KodoTsura takes place in the 1990s). 

Both very similar, storywise. Neither of them really have a important story and its just fun to watch. Very old animes so not recommended for all anime fans, more for the OG's 

Both Chibi Maruko-chan and Crayon Hagemaru revolves around the daily lives of a youngster (Maruko-chan being a 9 year old and Hagemaru a 4 year-old), including their relationship with their family and friends. They are also both funny. Switch off your brain and laugh while watching these two shows. Both are slice of life shows. Both have stupid type of characters. Both are comedy and slice of life. Both are about kids in a small warm family. The art style of both series is cartoony and unique. Both have main character with a unique personality. Many of the jokes in both series are occasionally weird they both have inappropriate behavior but are too cute.  read more
