* 我ープロフィールんかいめんそーれー!
My name is Michiko. Okinawan born and raised. 20 years old. Half Japanese, half Chinese-Filipina.
Been watching anime & reading manga since I was young. I don't know when I've become a big fan.
I'm also a fan of dramas, check out my list on MDL: http://mydramalist.com/dramalist/Zeppen
(The scores on my anime & manga list are based on how I enjoyed it.)
Add me, let's be friends!
*「Welcome to my profile/私のプロファイルへようこそ」in Okinawan.
Hmmm I guess it would be smart to try the more traditional fillings first, although I'm not sure about just rice with salt *eep!* I'd need to drink loads of water! I'll try making it for work this week! :) I willl be able to show off to my sisters when I see them as not many people over here have heard of "Onigiri" so it sounds like I have made something special and exotic! *Struts and flexes his muscles* I will just leave out the fact that every 5 year old in Japan can make it! *sigh's and sits in the corner*
Question! :D Do you often make onigiri, if so what fillings do you tend to use? I am tempted to try it with sautéd scallops?
I can't say I have tried making origiri specifically before, I normally just dump the rice in a bowl and chuck in whatever leftovers on top :| but I think it is about time my cooking skills went from yōchien to shōgakkō even if it is just for me.
Oh good lord. I just realized how hard it will be to sing a song in a karaoke bar as a new japanese learner. I must read all the manga so I can learn to read as fast as possible lol.
6 years? Well... I don't have 6 years... so... I am going to have to learn the basic kanji and then learn many more while I am there :D
It'll be ok though. Everything will work out... somehow...
Any exciting events coming up in the big game of life? :D
Oh dear lord. So you mean in addition to hiragana and katakana, there are 214 radicals that I need to learn for kanji? Oh good lord lol... I want to learn them as quickly as I can so I can start reading children's books. :D
Yes! Lol, I wanna make as many good friends as possible ^.^ And it seems like fun to hang out at a club after dismissal? What time is dismissal would you guess?
As for the blonde hair... I used to be really blonde, like white blonde. Now I am more of a dirty blonde. I also don't know if I should let my hair grow out long.
Karaoke!! That is most definitely happening. I think it'd be a home stay so at least I will have one friend right out of the gate :D
What? You're not having fun? Why? Mass Communications not your thing? Are you able to switch into Anthropology in upcoming years? I don't really know how it works lol.
Huh, celebrity, I think I could get used to that lol :D. I am trying to learn as much Japanese as I can so hopefully I can converse with them in Japanese. I'm trying to get through as much as I can as fast as I can :D And hopefully I'll be able to read manga/watch anime without english version/reading subtitles. I am guessing I am quite a ways away form that though. BTW after Kana, how would you suggest I learn Kanji?
I really kind of hope people are friendly with me. I think if I can speak Japanese pretty well it'll be a little less awkward. Although I am sure I'll sound really funny :D.
I may be confusing reality with anime but I just think the entire experience will be nostalgic. Even if life is absolutely nothing like an anime hopefully I'll be able to meet some people that are as into anime as I am lol, which I have a feeling will happen. I just can't wait to do some of the things that you listed that you and your friends do for fun ^.^
Also, there has never been an exchange between my school and Tamagawa, mainly because its a monolingual school. That's why I am getting having a tutor teach me Japanese lol. I have a feeling not many students from the US have visted. So in that area I might be either a little screwed, or people will be excited to have a citizen of 'MURIKA! to ask 'MURIKA! questions about. :D
