Also the 2nd manga does not get adapted all so if you want to know the story it would around chapter 50 of the manga.

In my rather excursive anime history, I have encountered many series with gender swapping motifs. Some have a recurrent theme throughout the series, whereas others only feature gender swapping plotlines in an episode or two.
