Hiyokoi

Produced by the same studio, similar atmosphere and a similar setting for both anime. Extremely shy girl meets popular guy who takes a liking to her, drastically changing her life. 

Obviously! Same director, similar art. Shy, unsocial girl meets superpopular, kind boy and starts to make friends because of him. they are deskmates too 

The female protagonist of Hiyokoi -Hiyorin- have the shy character of Sawako (from Kimi ni Todoke), and have the same appereance of Taiga (from Torodora) and in terms of height Yuushin and her are the opposite of Risa and Atsushi (from Lovely Complex). The story of Hiyokoi is similiar to these 3 animes as well. 

Both about a popular boy helping a shy girl overcome her shyness. 

Both main girl charas are shy and quiet and their partners are cheerful and outgoing. They start to make more friends as time passes by thanks to their partners 

Both have shy girls who fall in love with popular boys despite obstacles. Both protagonists learn to make new friends. Both girls even have appearances that remind their classmates of other things (Sawako reminds her classmates of Sadako from The Ring, and Hiyori reminds them of a hiyoko, or baby chick).

It's similar to its genre and the attitude of the protagonists. Both female protagonists doesn't want to mingle with its classmates and does want to be alone and also the one they like is friendly and popular. 

Hiyokoi and Kimi no Todoke are extremely similar. Hiyori and Sawako are cute, shy, lovely, kind, and pretty girls who fall in love with popular guys (Yuushin/Kazehaya). In both anime, the male main characters have a sexy laugh! Both of them are hot, playful, popular, have many friends. Plus both of them fell in love with the cute main character! If you like Kimi no Todoke, then you will definitely love Hiyokoi. 

Both Hiyokoi and Kimi ni Todoke involve a shy main character girl who doesn't fit in with the class until she meets the popular main boy who helps her experience many things, eventually falling in love with him. In Hiyokoi, Hiyori doesn't fit in well due to her short height, whereas in Kimi ni Todoke, Sawako doesn't fit in for her ghost-like aura and appearance (which have caused people nickname her as Sadako). In the end, things work out where the main guy helps the main girl. 

They are almost the same anime. Both are romance animes and both are about a girl who isnt that social falling in love with the popular kid in class. Hiyokoi is an 1 episode special, so dont be disappointed if you cant watch more of it (like me) 

similar characters, Hiyori is uber small like Taiga and Ryuuji / Yuushin are tall. They are both interesting, if you like slice of life genre then check out Hiyokoi too!~  

Toadora have similiarity of small girl and a talller guy hleping each other thought out life 

It's similar to its genre and the characters. The female protagonists on both are short in size pairing a boy who's far taller than her. But eventhough with that, they end up liking each other. It's just that in Hiyokoi it's not showed in the anime.  

The main characters of both anime resemble each other somehow. The setting of the animes are quite similar. 

These animes are about romance between two high schoolers, one difference is that in Toradora there are more girls who like one boy, and in Hiyokoi there's only one. Also the girl maincharacters are both compared to animals and their personalities are like that too. They both have some funny scenes that defenitely'll make you laugh, and they're funny in their own way but there's also enough romance and cuteness for a good anime.A big difference is the fact that Hiyokoi has -If you don't count the specials- only one episode, while Toradora has a bigger storyline so has a lot more episodes.

One of the more unique romantic comedies that I found similar to Hiyokoi due to the height complex theme. Both of these anime are also romantic comedy. 

Both have a couple with one short person and one tall person and in both the female in the couple is the lead of the series.Lovely Complex is more of a Romance while Hiyokoi is more of a comedy and Hiyoki is a 1 episode special while Lovely Complex is a 24 episode series,so Hiyoki is something neat to try because it's like a mini version of Lovely Complex except with some roles flipped 

both involve a short person and a much taller person in a relationship. In lovely complex, the guy is shorter than the girl while in hiyokoi, the girl is muuuuch shorter than the guy. 

Same height difference opposite way. 

Both animes only have 1 episode about a shy girl falling in love with a popular boy on high school 

Both OVA are short episodes based off a shoujo manga. Hence, expect drama, romance, and a relationship between the main male and female protagonist. Both OVA also takes place at school setting and after certain circumstances, fate brings them together. The main characters in both OVA are similar as well. The male protagonist is well liked and popular while the main female protagonist is just a simple girl. Both OVA also has a comedy that is typical of the shoujo genre that has cliches and generics. Yet, they are fun to watch. 

•both are a very short 1 OVA episode that give a brief summary on some chapters in the manga •both have a shy/simple young girl protagonist, and of course an all round popular young boy •both are about the progress of romance between the 2 protagonists, while Nagare goes right into the relationship, Hiyokoi only shows the beginning of the relationship on how the protagonists met and how they discovered their feelings, it also leaves the viewer hanging wanting to know more, making the viewer want to read the manga after watching •both are placed within a school, and face struggles/misunderstandings as per usual •both are a content to watch, and yet their so simple but beautiful to watch.  read more 

Both are one episode wholesome romance anime 

They're both romance/comedy's School Life Somehow, both of these gave me kind of the same feeling..maybe the art? Nonetheless, you'll love both of these.
