Uh, is quite simple actually: - One Outs and Giant Killing are quite similar because first of all they are both seinen with a main focus on the sports genre. - moreover, both deal with a professional sports: not the usual sports played by teenagers as you usually see in anime the most of times. - having adult characters overall both of the series, they also have a different way to tell the story, making it quite interesting as they both show you sides of the professional sports that you rarely see in anime. - still, both main characters give to their serie an overall quite strong psychological theme,  read more

Both of these Anime are about soccer. Both Anime have rather detailed drawing styles, one more so then the other.

Both of these shows are sport animes. In both shows, there are characters who are underestimated at first, but show extreme skill later as they develop. Also, both series include tense sport scenes with shots/goals.

As I was watching Major S2, Goro's arrogance[confidence(?)] reminded me a lot of Tatsumi. I kept comparing the two characters. They both also have the determination to fight from the bottom and become the best. They are also both enjoy sports anime.

Football (Soccer) is what makes the two similar. Not to mention both being very good! While Giant Killing is about a weak team becoming strong, Days (TV) on the other hand is a story where a weak player becomes strong. Nevertheless, if you are into football (soccer) the two is a must watch!

Both are sports anime, they both have a sense of teamwork and they both start off horribly but then rise to be known as a better team

Took a bit of getting into but good for sports anime fans. Very good characters and slightly more realistic than Ippo but an enjoyable watch all the same.

Both are about underdogs who rose to the competition under one's leadership. MCs are quite similar in that they both are hard-working, calculative and charismatic. Portrays struggles of individual members participating in the sport. They both feel pretty similar except that kaze ga tsuyoku fuiteiru is a more passionate story while giant killing focuses a bit more on strategizing.

While the sports in these anime are different, they both share the same kind of values espousing the merits of team work. Both anime involve down on their luck teams getting exciting new blood to reinvigorate them. In Kuroko it's new players and in Giant Killing it's a new coach, but in both the existing players must learn to get along with the new members and bond together as a team to win. Both series also have a lot of comedic moments inbetween the intense games they play.

Both are sports and seinen anime that revolve around the characters. Though Giant Killing isn't as character focused and doesn't feature an interesting art style.

Both of these anime's are based on main stream sports, They both have similar animation styles, They both are realistic representation of their sports, They are both more about character development than the actual sport,

they both take an indepth look into their respective sport. not just from a high school perspective but as a profession.

In both series, a dysfunctional cast has "giant killing", but also poor communication and self-esteem. The monsters inside of the heroes must be dealt with as much as the ones outside (Giant Killing has rival football teams, while Eva has the Angels.)

Want to see an underdog team rise to the top? Want to see more conniving strategies thought up to help the underdog team win? Want to see that underdog team perform a "giant killing"? Well then Eyeshield 21 and Giant Killing are one in the same in pretty much everything... except for the sport(and other such details) that is haha

Fantastic character studies masquerading as sports series! Both series do devote a good deal of time to matches and games, but the real attraction here is the great sense of pacing and a well-developed cast of characters. Cross Game is more leisurely and romantically inclined, while Giant Killing is more bombastic (and has a lovely musical score~). You don't need to know much about the respective sports to enjoy these shows!

Both gives a 'leader' feeling to the viewers. Both main characters are quite arrogant.

Both anime revolve around giant killing, though one is in the literal sense. The plots involve people who abandoned all hope yet face hardships in order to achieve their goals and bring the giant killing inside of themselves.

It's hard to compare Giant Killing with any other football related anime because they almost play real football. There is no jumping 20 feet in the air or the ball is not on fire when the player makes a free kick etc... So i think Kaiji is similar in more way's that one. Both anime's are about a game, and while Giant Killing is a team play Kaiji from Kaiji makes sure that he has teammates when he plays the games he is forced. So Kaiji is more darker anime but the two main protagonist from these anime's are very similar, they smart and analyzing all little  read more

Have you ever played the MASTER LEAGUE on Pro Evolution Soccer? Well, if you have no idea what I'm talking about it's basically a game mode in which you are a lame player / manager and have to become stronger in order to win the leagues and be promoted and considered a great team. Giant Killing is about falling and shows us the perspective a football team manager has. How do you control every team player? How do you become stronger? Is the budget enough to bring new people? Give GK a try. You'll certainly love it.
