Superflat First Love

This commercial is created to celebrate the 6 year long relationship of Murakami and Louis Vilton and is the successor to Superflat Monogram.

It's very likely to be made with drugs again. However, the drugs used seemed to be weaker.

What made the previous commercial great was its outlandish use of wacky designs and visuals. This commercial repeats it. However, comparing it to the previous work is too much of a comparison; the scenes seemed lacking in what made the previous commercial good.

Instead, it tries for a new approach. It ventures into a small part of Louis Vilton's history and that's about it. The sudden change in ... approach is awkward as a commercial that works best without concrete stories; why add one when you're supposed to mystify us with visuals? Thus, this sudden step into history is jarring and make the commercial kinda "meh".

There is also the use of CGI instead of the Digimon-styled character designs. I felt this "improvement" was unnecessary and I preferred the older character designs; the newer designs feel clunky and ugly. It did not sit well with me throughout the three minute show.

The background music is similar to the previous one, but it didn't feel as enjoyable. There is too much repetition and the experimental parts seemed toned down, which is a big minus in the sound department.

For a 3 minute commercial, it's somewhat memorable. However, it loses to its predecessor in visual aspects and memorability. The 3 minutes isn't a waste of time, but there is that feeling of lacking. This commercial could have been great, but it is no attention-grabber.

Well the description really says it all again, "Aya(how do you know her name) once again stands outside the Louis Vuitton store, but this time, Panda Geant(Giant - maybe) doesn't appear before her. Instead, the smaller, multi-colored Petit Panda suddenly appears, swallowing the girl and bringing her back into to the abstract, colorful world! Aya even finds herself back in the late 1800s(how) and meets a teenaged Gaston-Louis Vuitton, before she must return to her own time."

Pros: Animation still good, better music from a guy who make smooth sounds.

Cons: Samey, 3 mins.

Also not really worth watching, but a one time watch is fine. Misspelled giant ... and unknown motives that only affect this girl, i'm gonna go out on a limb and assume she's having seizures or some sorta stroke each time and it seems to be a recurring thing, she should be hospitalized until she gets treated. But seriously 1 short watch and forget about it, it the same as the previous one.
