The art director of magical users club is the same as the original creator of Prince Tutu! The scenarios the characters get into and the main character's personality are very similar to that of Duck in princess tutu. I thoroughly enjoyed this as much as I do princess tutu, but it has a little more broad appeal that tutu did. So even if tutu wasn't exactly your thing, you may like this more.

Cute girls with an after school magic club. Their outfits are also somewhat similar. Overall it has the same sort of feel/atmosphere, but with more comedy and personality.

Tenbatsu Angel Rabbie and Magic User's Club are two OVAs mixing the magical girl genre with sci-fi, as both anime start out with aliens coming over to the Earth, unable to be destroyed by weapons like missiles. The main character is a girl who is clumsy but optimistic, and has a magical wand to use her powers.

Magic User's Club and Uta Kata are two magical girl (with equal attention to the male leads) series with both slice of life aspects and fanservice peppered in—though the fanservice in Magic User's Club is more frequent and blatant for comedy, while the fanservice in Uta Kata is mainly in brief camera shots and transformation scenes. The two series may be very different from each other, as the former is way more light-hearted than the latter, but if you like beach episodes, character development, romantic complications, and somewhat decent animation, then these two anime are for you. (Junichi Sato did some storyboarding for both anime, too!)

Six Hearts Princess and Magic User's Club are two magical girl series that surprisingly have somewhat decently fluid/consistent-looking animation. The first scene in both series are somewhat sci-fi and don't have anything like the typical look/tone of the actual show. I also personally think 6HP has certain content that makes it meant to be a magical girl show aimed at older men like Magic User's Club.

Magic User's Club and Prétear are both magical girl anime about a group of both magical girl(s) and magical boys who use their magic to try and protect the world. As two anime directed by Junichi Sato, there is a good amount of character development, romance, and comedy (actually, both anime have somewhat similar comedy as they both use slapstick and even a little bit of pervy humor—though Magic User's Club has more of both types as Prétear focuses more on drama than on comedy).

Two of the many collections of Harry Potter on his dvd shelf.

In both anime's there is a group of people that are trying to study magic. "Quiz Magic Academy" have a magic school and "Mahou Tsukai Tai" a magic club. They also have similar humor.

Magic, witches, and random! Both very colorful series, but Mahou Tsukai Tai is oriented towards a slightly older audience.

Developed by Bandai Visual in 1996 as competing OVA projects, Mahou Tsukai Tai and Shamanic Princess are both epic tales of red-haired girls with magical powers.
