Baton

Both describes relationship between people and androids and the progress of artificial intelligence of male lead during love/friendship 

Zany animation, eccentric characters and a very eye opening, unique feature of introducing real humans in anime.  

Both series are science fiction anime peppered with a light hearted romance theme heavily influenced by Isaac Asimov's legendary work, I;Robot. It is rare to come across such refreshing series when wading through the boring, cartoon violence anime like FMA: Brotherhood mixed with fan service laden shows. Both are quintessential must watch series for the mature viewer. 

Imagine if The Animatrix was mixed with Eve no Jikan (heavily influenced by Isaac Asimov). The result would be Baton. Its science fiction story mixed with light inter robotic romance budding from a robot's existentialism sets this anime apart from bland Shounen and fanservice plagued anime released in the past few years.
