Ranma ½ (2024)

Both shows are fantastic remakes based on the legendary Rumiko Takahashi's works. They share a similar vibe, blending romance comedy with a cast of captivating characters. If you enjoy one of these, you're sure to love the other! 

At the beginning of both the shows, the MC is forced into a relationship with a violent tsundere girl. In case of Ranma, Akane is his fiancee and in case of Raku, Chitoge is his make-believe girlfriend. Both are filled with intense comedy. Oh, and both are harem shows. 

Both male MCs turn into female characters for wacky reasons and have to fight even wackier characters throughout the series! 

Both animes are action-packed romcoms that lean into the supernatural. There's some similarities with the main male protagonist being able to change his appearance, and the love triangle antics. Dandadan can be considered as a modern successor to the romcom genre anime that Ranma 1/2 pioneered in the 90s.  

Both are delightful romantic comedies filled with chaotic humor, eccentric characters, and fantastical twists, all crafted by the legendary Rumiko Takahashi. Their vibrant animation and over-the-top scenarios make them endlessly entertaining, while their heartfelt exploration of love and misunderstandings ensures emotional depth.
