These shows start in a very similar way: a new timid teacher gets assigned to a class of full of mischievous students, who start to pester the new teacher. Even though Mitsudomoe does not contain any mythology, both shows have a very similar vibe in them.

School-set wacky comedies where a human has to attend school with other people that aren't humans, in Seton the human is with anthropomorphic animals and in Yohaji the human is with youkai.
There are pointers within both where you learn more about the species there, one regarding different animal species and the other on youkai.
Main difference is that Seton's human MC is a student whereas Yohaji's human MC is a teacher, also that Yohaji leans more towards gag humour and Seton is more ecchi oriented within its comedy.
