Kengan Ashura Season 2 Part 2

I don't usually watch martial arts anime, but I ended up watching this one because of a scene on YouTube where Karura tries to flirt with Ohma and he runs away 😂.
The story of the characters is quite interesting, each one with their own reasons and they show human complexity. Ohma simply wanted to show everyone that he was strong, a Goku of life, and besides that he has the desire to overcome himself even if he gets into critical conditions. He has his charisma when fighting and Yamashida outside the ring with all his insecurity that he has to overcome. The negative point is ... that the Kure family was little explored in this final stretch and for me there is a small hole in the script where the Kure could have given some tip on how to better control the life advancement technique, which could... I won't give spoilers 😂.
Another negative point, but this is my personal opinion, is that they could have worked on Ohma's relationship with Karura, and the animation is fantastic, even for a 3D

DEFINITELY the strongest of all the seasons. A lot of non kengan fans (aswell as many kengan fans) were pretty dissapointed with the degree of CGI used in the first seasons outside of the peak fights.

If you're one of those people, trust me when i say, 'it gets better'. Not only is the last season by far the greatest one for plot reasons, it also carries some of the most exciting fights you'll see in all of the series. You can also definitely tell that the budget was bumped up. Either that, or someone's been doing some crazy volunteer work. The show is WAY more ... animated. Instead of being CGi, most of the fights are drawn properly, and all the peak moments look crazy.

I'm really happy with the way that the ending of the annihilation tournament was done, and i can't recommend this enough. As someone who does martial arts, and has done martial arts for most of their life, the relatability to some of the fighters are unlike anything i've felt from other series.

If you have any experience with martial arts, you'll appreciate how this show was done. And if you're someone who just likes watching good and exhilarating fights, you're in for some of the best fight choreography in all of anime.

I really wanted to like this one, I really did. The extremely abrasive interruptions totally derailed the flow of each fight this season. Establishing backstory is key for character development & viewer attachment, I understand, but man, this was done so poorly. I really don't remember it being this bad & interruptive in the seasons prior. It absolutely killed the mood for me.

The non-cgi animations looked terrible as well, which is weird because they looked totally fine in the Baki crossover.

As someone who enjoys, big over-the-top, crazy martial arts fights, the end of Kengan Asura was kinda disappointing. It just left me feeling ... bummed out.

6/10 not as good as Baki
