BanG Dream! Ave Mujica

Both involve 5 girls that go through some dark and tragic events. Madoka is more supernatural in nature, and it also uses ample metaphors to describe the inner feelings of the main girls. With Ave Mujica, there's no supernatural, no life and death situations, the drama is about normal people in ordinary, yet tough situations. Both show us the pain of following your goals or dreams, trying to sync with other when they have opposing views and interests, and reaping the tragic consequences of your actions and the world around you ends up crumbling to dust. 

When Mygo came out I called it the Madoka Magica of band anime but Ave Mujica is ACTUALLY the Madoka Magica of band anime  

A backstory of a character in Ave Mujica heavily resembles one in Umineko. Both have implied dissociative identity disorder rep (can be debated for Umineko but confirmed in Ave Mujica) Both have evil lesbians
