Dysfunctional girls start a band together. Tons of raw human emotion without easy resolutions or "hug together and drama is over" moments like in other girl band shows

Group of girls start a band . Both have themes of mental health and bocchi and tomori are very similar characters imo! Bocchi is more comedic while Mygo is more of a drama

Both series focus on lost girls forming a band and navigating interpersonal conflicts and internal angst along the way. Mashumairesh is much sillier and a little gayer, MyGO is much heavier and more neurodiverse, but both have a deep and empathetic heart for people searching to connect with each other through music.

In the third ep we have a character managing to demonstrate an emotion that she herself believed she didn't have. And all this for singing her diary with all the instinct she had.

Both anime are about how characters get together from different schools to work in a group. In Watashi no Yuri wa Oshigoto desu, the girls work to serve costumers in a cafe, while in MyGo, the girls form a band and perform for the audience. They also focus on misunderstanding and twisted relationship between characters, which are not obvious just by looking at both anime's promotion and the beginning of the story.

Interpersonal dramas set in rock bands with climactic musical performances. Also shares a writer (Yuniko Ayana) and a plot point involving a song, even if the context is different.
