BanG Dream! It's MyGO!!!!!

Both animes are about girls' bands with similar themes, focusing on small drama and personal issues, giving a more mature and darker tone (compared to other comfy CGDCT bands of the franchise, ofc). Additionally, they share similar animation based on 3DCG. 

Both are all girl band animes done in CGI (which are done really good). There is a lot of drama not just between the girls but with also ex-bands which happens in both shows. There is a lot of really great music as well so enjoy listening to bangers as well! 

1. Girls Band and Disband - It's not about having fun like in K-On! or joking around like in Bocchi the Rock! If you want to watch a real girls band with darker themes and real social problems, both MyGO!!!!! and Girls Band Cry can deliver it for you. Each of these bands came from a group of girls that is in the verge of disbanding. But they grit their teeth and continue to face each of the problem that comes their way, even if they know that it's all for naught. 2. Societal Problems - The awkwardness of having someone comes suddenly barging into you, or that difficult family problem and poor financial issues, or that thing that you and your friends promised to each other but was broken by something or someone. And that whole moment of calm, serene, at ease feeling of you and your friends in a band, playing each of the instruments, all gone into a misery. That's the real issue that BanG Dream! It's MyGO!!!!! and Girls Band Cry are portraying. Not that fuwa-fuwa or doki-doki vibes you can see in K-On! or Bocchi the Rock! Although Bocchi has confidence-issues, it's the running gag of the show. 3. Beautiful 3D CGI - Having a problem with anime in 3D? Your eyes not used to 3D used in anime yet? Well, sad to say this isn't for you. BanG Dream! It's MyGO!!!!! and Girls Band Cry have done a insurmountable amount of work to deliver a beautiful CGI that's even comparable to Disney's or Pixar's or Hollywood's 3D CGI or even greater. And it's not just that, both Toei Animation (Girls Band Cry) and Sanzigen (BanG Dream! It's MyGO!!!!!) both master the use of 3D in anime and you wouldn't even notice it until someone tells it to you. Too bad I did, sorry. Plus! It's not even comparable to that lame dragon CGI you typically see in an anime. It's much much better! 4. Great music, Albums, MV, and much much more! - Not yet convinced? Well, don't worry. Each of the show have great multiple albums that comes with the Opening and Ending of each anime. And both are played by their own Voice Actress, and not even that, they also play real instruments, and perform live on-stage and concerts. read more 

Mygo has a more serious tone than GBC. Both of them have great music. Both of them are cgi, but! that doesn't mean they're bad in any way.  

Anime revolving around girls in bands. Bocchi The Rock mostly focusses on Hitori Gotou's struggles, multiple characters in MyGO have their own baggage that gets explored within the show. While not on the same severity as Bocchi, MyGO also has a main character with social anxiety, though their experiences with it are very different. One difference is that Bocchi has a very humorous and upbeat vibe, while BanG Dream MyGO has a much more serious and dramatic feel. Regardless, both anime have amazing soundtracks.
