Girls Band Cry

Dysfunctional girls start a band together. Tons of raw human emotion without easy resolutions or "hug together and drama is over" moments like in other girl band shows
Both animes are about girls' bands with similar themes, focusing on small drama and personal issues, giving a more mature and darker tone (compared to other comfy CGDCT bands of the franchise, ofc). Additionally, they share similar animation based on 3DCG.
Both are all girl band animes done in CGI (which are done really good). There is a lot of drama not just between the girls but with also ex-bands which happens in both shows.
There is a lot of really great music as well so enjoy listening to bangers as well!
1. Girls Band and Disband
- It's not about having fun like in K-On! or joking around like in Bocchi the Rock! If you want to watch a real girls band with darker themes and real social problems, both MyGO!!!!! and Girls Band Cry can deliver it for you. Each of these bands came from a group of girls that is in the verge of disbanding. But they grit their teeth and continue to face each of the problem that comes their way, even if they know that it's all for naught.
