Both are boys wo likes to dress like girls, but still have feelings for another girl, who understands how they are feeling.

Straight SoL romance with an androgynous love interest, which looks like yuri/BL. The difference is that Goukon is completely wholesome and light-hearted in nature, while Senpai wa Otokonoko covers serious topics and really deals with themes of gender and sexuality.

Honestly the portrait of a guy being in a weak character pairing with a girl who obviously has a more dominant character or role is just too similar. If you like this kind of reversed style relationship, go for it.

Hourou Musuko is like a middle school version of Senpai wa Otokonoko. In both series there is a pretty boy dressing up as a girl because they like themselves better that way. Yet at the same time both series show the reasoning behind it and feature them as boys as well. If one peaked your interest and haven't seen the other one, check them out.

Both are about a boy with traditionally feminine interests, who faced backlash because of it. Though Puniru is a comedy and Senpai wa Otokonoko is a drama, making them different in tone, both are very positive in their messages that it’s okay to like whatever you like.
