16bit Sensation: Another Layer

Both have protagonists who are are passionate with game development but they got stuck in a dead end job. They get transported back in time to get a chance to redo their career.

Both shows share a similar premise: the protagonist, who isn't very happy with their career outlook, mysteriously time-traveled several years into the past. To prevent the same mistakes, the protagonist is motivated to dive deep into the game development industry to reach success. While both shows tried to highlight the process of developing a video game, Losing Money to Be a Tycoon focuses more on the comedic side of its characters. Qian's "Fortune Conversion System" where making a net loss in his company is more profitable for his personal gains is the source of many funny gags between him and his employees, especially how the employees misunderstood his motives and unique directions. Qian's suffering by his inability to lose money is a literal "suffering in success". Meanwhile, 16bit Sensation puts more focus on its storyline and the supernatural part, thus giving it a bit of a serious tone. Konoha's motivation to make games is driven by her deep passion for bishoujo games. Being able to travel in time back and forth to periods of phenomenal games gave her a taste of game development she would've never had, plus a chance to create her dream game from scratch during the golden era of bishoujo games. However, exploiting the knowledge of the future may have caused some unexpected side effects with her timeline. If you want light-hearted comedy to de-stress your brain while still having an entertaining plot for you to follow, then try Losing Money to Be a Tycoon. Let's see... person born in a specific period in time (Ancient Rome and Modern Japan) who have aspirations of great significance (being one of the greatest bath house architects in Rome and being a big-time game illustrator) who were displaced in Heisei-era Japan and are enthralled with the technological aspects of that period (public baths and bishojo game development) and decide to introduce what they've learned to that time period. 

Akihabara, time travel, an eccentric protagonist, and the present being changed irresponsibly. 

Because both show good things about otaku culture with a touch of sci fi. 

Both anime involves a female mc who’s passionate about making anime(in shirobako) and game(in 16bit). While shirobako explains the overall process in detail, 16bit focuses more on the sci-fi style. 

These stories both involve a time travel plot that allows the characters to travel back and forth between the past and the future. Both Takamichi and Konoha are similarly weak characters who desperately wish to change things for the better but take no initiative to do so. While you'd never confuse one for the other, both characters are willful wallflowers who watch the plot happen to them rather than directly affecting it. If you like time travel and telegraphed plot twists you can see from a mile out, you will find a lot to like in both shows.  

Not only both shows are from the same mangaka, but also have a protagonist who is into video games with cute girls. 

Cute girl with an interested in a deeply otaku topic gets heavily invested in said topic before things go meta. In Animegataris it's Anime specifically. In 16bit it's Eroge VNs. Both discuss the genre, history, and roles needed to develop the media format, and then both lightly hint at some supernatural driver in the first half before going all in with the supernatural element and its effects as the story progresses.
