Both anime have a strong main character who practices martial arts and fights against strong enemies. Both have a similar kind of animation and character designs, and an overall similar vibe to them. Also, both anime have characters who wear leopard masks when they fight.

First off, both anime have similar art and character designs. Secondly, the characters in both anime often participate in battle tournaments. Also, they partially revolve around a conflict between two siblings. Overall, both anime are quite action-packed and give off a similar vibe. They also have a very successful game franchise built around them.

If you like YuGiOh for it's style and presentation, then I highly recommend checking out Tekken 1998. You'll recognise and come to understand a huge amount of director Kunihisa Sugishima's screen language. It was a delightful thing to watch, like a museum of visual ideas I've seen in YuGiOh. However, if instead you like YuGiOh for it's story, games, and battles - and how those are paced, then Gundam Build Fighters 2013 is where to look. To me it's the true spiritual successor to Duel Monsters's format.

"Yu Yu Hakusho" and "Tekken: The Motion Picture" involve incredibly muscular and powerful people fighting against each other under a ridiculous premise with supernatural elements. Despite both anime focusing on action, they each do a very poor job of portraying it.

Both anime were made around the same period, and have similar art and animation. They both have a lot of action and adrenaline, focusing on characters who fight in tournaments. The only difference is that Gundam has mecha, while Tekken doesn't.
