From the first episode it reminded me of Kaizoku a little. Maybe the character design and that it started with the paladin saving a girl/ warrior saving Fena etc

both series feature a cast of fantasy characters riding around on a big ship traveling from land to land helping others. the main heroine is a support hero with mysterious mystical powers that is the one thing that can overcome the giant monsters that plague the world.

Protagonists share a similar origin story. They both assemble a crew of trusted companions and go forth with their adventures

Weird monsters make their appearance out of nowhere and the two mcs, girl and the man with the magic sword must unite somehow to fight them...

MC's both are a result of human experimentation. Both have great powers than can go out of control. Either due to a lack of emotional control or a split personality. Both are action/fantasy.

Giant Beasts of Ars and Yona of the Dawn are female-led series centered on a damsel in distress and their protectors. Kuumi (Giant Beasts of Ars) and Yona (Yona of the Dawn) grow as individuals through their adventures overcome difficulties. Your enjoyment will depend on how much you like the characters rather than their stories, which are very simple. The world building is also a strong point for some, but I felt they weren't developed enough. Giant Beasts of Ars and Yona of the Dawn are very much of the same level of quality so fans should enjoy both.

Kaina of the Great Snow Sea and Giant Beasts of Ars are female-led adventure series involving young girls who are pursued by generic military antagonists. A good adventure series will have engage viewers with its world building. Kaina of the Great Snow Sea succeeds more in this respect than Giant Beasts of Ars, which has an interesting world that feels underdeveloped. How much you enjoy the series will depend on whether you become invested with the main characters.

Giant Beasts of Ars and Castle in the Sky are adventure titles that are centered on a damsel in distress and their protector. Sheeta (Castle in the Sky) and Kuumi (Giant Beasts of Ars) are young girls who are pursued by corrupt military agents to gain power. Both anime develop this storyline to their expected conclusions. Giant Beasts of Ars unfortunately has story structure issues that brings down its enjoyment, but might still appeal to an audience that wants a female-centric adventure series. Castle in the Sky is a very good adventure movie that knows how to make the best of a simple storyline.
