Yamada-kun to Lv999 no Koi wo Suru

Wotakoi feels like the grown-up version of My Love Story with Yamada at Lv999. Also, in both shows, the male MC is quiet and an introvert while the female MC is cheerful and an extrovert. Both male MC are also gamers. If you love one of these, give the other one a try! 

Similarities: the same romance in a adult setting. Dissimilarities: One involves romance in a gaming setting while the other one involves in a otaku setting.  

- the main leads are both gamers - both of them have some funny jokes - the relationships are insanely cute, while at the same time being actually somewhat mature - blonde sunny boy as a side character :) - likeable MCs - (Read the Yamada-kun to Lv999 no Koi wo Suru web manga. Trust me, it’s spicy.) 

Have a same energy and also very fun to watch. Very recommended for whom who seek the love between otaku and funny story. 

Both are comedy animes' with romance. However, Yamada-kun only focuses on gaming otaku; Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii includes different types of otaku like cosplay otaku, BL otaku, and more. 

The main couple of both series have similar personalities, and their relationship are not much different. Main female lead in both anime: Lose their boyfriends, want a new one, both are in love with a guy with black hair, and introverted. Main male lead in both anime: Like games (the Wotakoi one like otaku things in general, while the one in Yamada-kun only plays games from what was shown), both fall in love with a supposedly "outgoing girl" that is also interested in the same kind of things they like to do. 

Both are romances. Both feature otaku mcs(!). 

Both the anime are based on Otaku (playing video games etc.) with both the MC boy as an introvert and emotionless at the beginning, whereas the girl with lively attitude and they both fall in love with each other. There are many scenes which otakus can relate to themselves.  

- nerds romance (Yamada-kun... has the main male lead a video game nerd (the female lead is a newbie & Wotaku ni Koi... all 4 main characters of the 2 couples are nerds, with the main male lead being a video game nerd as well.) - The main female character is bubbly with clumsiness - The main male character is stand-off-ish with a cool demeanor Yamada-kun... is more focused on video games while Wotaku ni Koi... is more focused on manga and cosplay. (but they aren't limited to these areas:) 

- Both centered around games - Both ML are quiet and sweet (sometimes direct) and play games - Both FL are upbeat and peppy - Romcom anime - (Wotaku in Koi wa Muzukashii) Supporting characters are well written and developed with adorable relationships - (Yamada-kun to lv999 no koi wo Suru) Supporting characters used as an anchor for the main couple, however, they are still charming either way 

Both anime are done in almost a shoujo/josei style that also does well in drawing in a male audience with gaming being the premise and romance the theme. I'd say that while both anime find their niche being game based, either demographic can enjoy these charming romances, so long as they can get past the premise. Over all, I'd say that Yamada no koi is more friendly to those not as experienced with gaming, and while gaming is a theme in the show, it isn't all too centric to the plot, and not much time is spent in-game. A non-gamer will have an easier time understanding and relating to the content in Yamada no Koi than Net-Juu. Both share a slightly shoujo take on an otherwise male dominated theme that just about anyone who enjoys romance can get behind. read more 

Characters that meet in a online game and, eventually, get to known each other IRL and develop a romantic relationship (this last part for Net-juu cuz as I write now only the first episode of Yamada came out and is kind soon to set the ship/romance sail but it does look inevitable). 

If you enjoyed Net-juu no Susume, chances are you'll also enjoy Yamada-kun to Lv999 no Koi wo Suru because both anime depict romances that originate in online games and have real-life impacts. However, Net-juu no Susume offers a more satisfying storyline overall. Nonetheless, if you appreciate the theme of virtual relationships transcending into reality, both shows are worth exploring. 

Similarities: The same romance in On-Line..... The same Kudere and dere dere relationship. Dissiamilaties: Net_juu The female character is older than the make character. The female character come from being a successful career woman to becoming a hokikomori, while her guy partner was able to maintain his successful career and still able to go on-line. Yamada-kun Female character was an average gamer while the guy is a professional gamer. Female character has a fake relationship with the guy.  

Both anime are romantics that relate the real life of the characters with their life in games, usually RPGs. Both are very fun and a great entertainment option 

- in both series the main character is hardly talkative and more introverted, while the heroine is really outgoing and extroverted - the romance is mainly happening between the main character and the heroine 

• Morden High school rom-com anime with similar character dynamic. • Main characters in both the series is kinda similar ; the main guy is a soft spoken person who is also very attractive while the main girl talks to much and is very friendly. • Both the series are very well animated series with likable lead and side characters.

The vibe of both anime is similar. Watching two MCs meet and fall in love in a slice of life setting with friends and family as likeable supporting characters. Both MCs feel like Opposite attracts but it's more them getting to know each other and developing an awesome friendship which makes them love each other. Both MCs are also beautifully animated. From hair movement, to shining eyes and the way they look so good together. No awkward tsundere moments. No unnecessary drama. 

The main plot story about meeting friends through online game and gradually growing closer to them is similar. Sharing their feelings with each other, spending time both online and offline face to face. And lastly becoming a couple. In Netoge no Yome wa Onnanoko ja Nai to Omotta? (And you thought there is never a girl online?) the female lead Ako is a little unsocial and a shut-in where the same can be said to Yamada in Yamada-kun to Lv999. The main character from Netoge Nishimura is quite normal but the same cannot be said for Akane from Yamada-kun, she has mood swing problems as well as impatient, desperate for love. Insecurity of dying single without finding love. Considering everything these two animes are very much alike.  read more 

Both develop their love interest but cannot express it easily. Yamada and Amane are dense with no experience with girls & they're always distancing themselves from others. Akane and Mahiru captivate the boys into liking them by using their charm and throughout the series's you feel that both couples complement each other quite nicely with some interesting interactions, warm and wholesome vibes overall. Totally recommended to check both!
