Kimi wa Houkago Insomnia

High schooler Ganta Nakami has trouble falling asleep most nights. As a result, he is irritable at school, always searching for an opportunity to find a secluded place to doze off. On the other hand, Isaki Magari is a free spirit who is well liked by her friends, but no one is aware of her sleep disorder. She makes use of the school's abandoned astronomy club observatory as her secret sleeping bunker when she needs to get some shut-eye.

As fate would have it, Nakami finds Magari napping in the observatory. When Magari discovers that she and Nakami have something in common, she offers to share her secret sleeping spot with her fellow insomniac. As the two find warmth in each other's company, the struggles they face start to become easier to confront.

One of the most innocent, purest romance anime out there. There are not many tropes like in other romance animes, their connection and feelings seem natural, the way they fall for each other over time is a great journey, it's nothing like a boring slow burn.

The only criticism one can have is the pacing. Even without being familiar with the source material you will feel that some scenes got cut, meaning sometimes there's no continuation or consequence for some stories or actions, sometimes there's a weird time skip.

Other than that there's no other issue with this anime, it does everything as it should. The music ... is fitting, the scenery is always charming with the night sky. The characters and dialouges are both on point.

For anyone who likes romance or slice of life it's a must watch, for anyone else it's a great starter in the genre. It's simply calming and beatiful.

Mixed Feelings

At first it was a little doubtful because the quality was bad, but it turned out that was only part of the fairy tale, whereas the main story was really good.

For the beginning, the story of this anime is quite good and the relationship between them really makes me want to fall in love too.
But it's a shame that episode 6 onwards starts to get boring, the storyline is filled with things that I don't really like, like telling about the past, telling about cultural festivals and so on, while their intimate relationship is increasingly disappearing in my opinion.

Another drawback is that many scenes ... are filled with motionless images, and I was forced to watch them by speeding up and skipping the motionless images.

It's a shame that I can't say that this anime is recommended, because the story is only good at the beginning and not good until the end.

Inconsistent, Plotless, Complete waste of time.

There is literally no story, the romance is also pretty bland without any drama. Honestly pretty disappointed by the poster. I thought it would be some kind of cool astrologist typo anime with a little bit romance here and there but in reality it was just a sad life story of a highschooler who cant sleep and then he somehow gets into taking idle photos of sky while trying to find a sleeping place in an abandoned club .Would not recommend this to anyone who has this kind of perception going into the anime because you're gonna get your ... time wasted. And it doesnt even deserve 7 let alone 8, maybe the beach scene got people to rate it higher

Even scum wish was better. atleast it had some story
