Story and motive are similar - Time travel/time leap - Slice of life with love If you seek for more, grab this title, won't be dissapointed. 

For a new viewer going into this movie, you have to watch both for the full experience. Any of these movies can be watched in any order, depending on the order you watch will change your perspective of both movies. (for me I watched, To Every You -> To Me). If you can't decide which movie to watch first, ill give you a brief description to help you decide which to start with. Boku ga Aishita Subete no Kimi e (To Every You I've Loved Before) If you decide to start with this movie, you will feel Confused, curious, asking questions on why these things are happening. Once you finished the other recommended movie ( To Me, The One Who Loved) all those wandering thoughts will be answered and will shock you. -------------------- Kimi wo Aishita Hitori no Boku e (To Me, The One Who Loved You) If you decide to start with this movie, you will feel Sad and Happy (can't really explain the feeling) but basically emotional. This route is more natural as it continues the story based on where it left off. Think of it as a continuation of the movie Once you finished the other recommended movie ( To Every You I've Loved before) You feel love and see the perspective for the characters much clearer. TLDR: Which to start? (To Every You I've Loved Before): Mysterious, The story makes sense at the end or connects the dots. (To Me, The One Who Loved You): Smooth transition to the next movie makes you see the perspective of the characters Remember that any order is ideally fine, dont stress about it lol. read more 

Both requires a brain to understand - requires you to like the concept of different timelines or parallel worlds due to our actions. But instead of full 100% Sci-Fi, Boku Ai and its counterpart Kimi Ai focuses more on the romance side of things. Love and parallel worlds. Steins;gate x Makoto Shinkai basically. 

Both deal with time travel in some ways, they're also similar thematically as well with romance and drama aspects. 

For "Boku ga Aishita Subete no Kimi e" I would like to recommend "Steins;Gate Movie: Fuka Ryouiki no Déjà vu". Both films are love stories, with the theme of multiple universes or parallel worlds, and complement this sci-fi very nicely with drama and romance elements. The stories are different, but both are well directed, with appealing art design and a charm of their own. Musically, the films are well done, the BGM is very appropriate in each case. The theme songs, e.g. 'Anata no Eranda Kono Toki wo (OP)' by Itou Kanako and the ED 'Itsumo Kono Basho de' sung by Ayane are also very nice.
