This is a futuristic action police drama about a detective who is assigned to a police force on Mars. Here he meets Armitage, a hot-headed detective with a taste for violence and wearing as little as possible. The two investigate violent crimes against cyborgs and end up uncovering some shocking truths.

both share the same philosophy that is "many people believe that Robots do not deserve equal status with humans" but also there's certain opposition that want to prove it's possible. both are pedantic and dense in terms of action or plot, the characters are dull imo. these two productions in movie format shows the several interactions robots and humans have that'd be of a companion or a motherly bound and how they are very capable of do the same thing than humans. i still believe that the ovas of both franchises are the better and can develop further

The action packed scenes in both of these movies along with the style Seem to bring these two together as if they were siblings.

Ai no Kusabi shares with Armitage series the atmospere of good rough cyberpunk. Maybe it's even more similar to Armitage Polymatrix. However the only Dual-Matrix is of the same director as Ai no Kusabi.

Early digitial animation era spin-off of classic '90s AIC/Pioneer LDC girls-with-guns science fiction anime.

Dual Matrix is nowhere near as good as SAC - SSS, but it is similar in that it's a follow-on to a sci-fi series that is cyberpunk to a greater or lesser degree, and features an almost completely cybernetic female lead and her part-cybernetic, part-human male partner. Also, both can be taken as a single unit, in that you can watch them if you've not seen the series they follow; however in both cases it's advisable to watch the series, just to get more of a good thing, and arguably a more satisfying overall story.
