Both of these Animes are made by Studio DEAN... They both focus on a relationship between two males and have a somewhat age gap. They have a similar feel to them, partly because of the animation, partly because the characters in one sometimes have brief encounters with characters in the other. Junjou Romantica deals with relationships between gay couples..., the insecurities in the relationships...and at last the trust and love that develops between the main characters. Gakuen heaven involves mainly on how the main characters end up together as a couple in a very innocent and cute way. Gakuen is more tamed (and has more beautiful characters) than the main characters in Junjou Romantica because in Junjou Romantica they  read more

Both are sequels to a popular yaoi series and it's by the same mangaka, so the story settings are very similar.
