Synopsis

Lü Shu is a frail teenager with an iron will. After losing his parents, he enrolls in a prestigious high school while working for a living and looking after his adoptive sister, Lü Xiaoyu. However, Lü Shu's quiet life abruptly changes when a car accident awakens his latent cultivation superpowers. Now cured of his physical weakness, he decides to hide his newfound abilities, as the art of cultivation is still shrouded in mystery—and the fate of cultivators uncertain.

Meanwhile, Tian Luo Di Wang, the international foundation responsible for monitoring the cultivators, sets its plans in motion. Under the impetus of their member Xi Fei, a special cultivation training group is established in Lü Shu's high school. Although Lü Shu is forced to join the program, he is determined to hide the nature of his fearsome power, for his cultivation draws from an unlimited resource: the negative emotions of others brought about by his actions.

A very well written and nicely paced anime. Made in China.

There is alot of talking and it might turn some people off, which is understandable. But i found the conversations fascinating that i wasnt bored.
It takes its time without wasting your time.

Its a story about metahumans who recently had their powers awakened. Think of them like mutants from X-Men.
There is a secret organization that monitors, and trains these metahumans. They also capture rogue metahumans who cause trouble.

The main character Lu Shu starts off on a low level. But by secretly feeding off of people's negative emotions he gets stronger and surpasses everyone.

He ...

Mixed Feelings
I finished the anime confused I still don’t get the power level system it felt random. The main characters power system confused me the most why did he get this new ability I don’t know. His little sister abilities weren’t really explained

The side characters feel 1 dimensional and didn’t make a impact on me. Give me a reason to actually care about them, I can hardly remember there names.

The pacing is slow the story doesn’t really go anywhere which is disappointing and when it does move it felt rushed like why are they here.

It was really funny at times but it’s a ...

The plot of this anime is poorly explained, leaving out crucial details that could have enhanced the story. The buildup in the beginning was promising, but midway through, it lost direction and became confusing. The most engaging characters were surprisingly the chipmunk (no joke) and Xianyi Li; the rest of the cast lacked depth and personality.

While the art and design were appealing, and the voice acting was decent, the animation fell short of expectations. Overall, the characters felt bland, and there was a distinct lack of a coherent story. It's difficult to discern what the anime aims to be beyond a misguided attempt at comedy.
