What a beautiful, intricate, well-woven story about the war between the monkeys and octopuses, and how it shows the social disparity between these 2 animals quite clearly. This short movie calls into account how even though the monkeys had a clear advantage in technology, they were still being outmaneuvered and held back by the octopuses in a very clear and heartwarming way. The way that they were trying to hold back the monkeys with all of their might during this war and how they were still beaten in the end gives an insight into today's social problems and how complete domination can overshadow the hard

work and determination from the other side quite ferociously. How the octopuses were trying with all of their might to no avail to win this predetermined battle is heart wrenching and can bring even a grown man to tears with how determined they were to defeat their opposition and win back their old life in prosperity and good health. The action displayed between the technology of the monkeys and the ink from the octopuses is very nostalgic as many action video games today clearly rip off of the action in this movie and the idea of the differences in technology in the outcome in battle. The sound, even only limited to 1 track, is gorgeous and driving in action, as it keeps the action of the movie even more suspenseful and uplifting, giving the feeling as if one day the octopuses could actually win against their heartless and emotionless enemies who kill without any remorse, even when it seems hopeless. Each character shown in this movie each has their own details clearly imprinted into their personality and actions, even when they speak no eligible words the entire movie. The disparity of the color of the squids and monkeys is first seen as just differences in amount of hair, in which the octopuses have none so their skin color is shown as white. But, you can clearly also see a 2nd meaning to these differences in color, as the domination of the monkeys shows the ongoing battle between life and death, and how the monkeys clearly indicate life with their domination, and the octopuses show death with their desperation and lost hope with their destruction. This is a life-changing realization, as it gives more meaning to the simple, clear-cut animation and the aggressive, action-packed war. Another detail given with their characters is a metaphor for society and animals, as the monkeys display humans and the octopuses display the life of the animals in this world. The reason why this is so is because the advanced society and technological innovations shown by the monkeys is clearly dominant in comparison to the octopuses and shows how they are being utilized and overtaken in this world. The art, in my opinion, is the most simple yet detailed in a 1 minute movie I have ever seen in my entire life, due to the fact this is the only 1 minute movie I've watched. Even ignoring this fact, the simple color scheme of the monkeys and the squids when compared to the dully animated society and environment is synonymous with dying traditions and culture in modern society. Due to all of these facts, this short movie gets an overall of 4/10.
