Haikyuu!! and Bakuten!!(Backflip!!) are both sports series, with Haikyuu!! being about boys volleyball and Bakuten!! being about boys' rhythmic gymnastics. The MCs are similar because they want to be the best at what they do.

Both are team sports anime (Bakuten!!'s team has 6 guys, Re-Main's team has 7 guys). Both main leads go to the first class of high school. Both main leads went to an inferior high school than they planned, but for very different reasons. Both have plenty of lighthearted and comedic scenes; these can either stand on their own or can be assumed to lighten up the more serious scenes and themes. Both anime are well-written, their animation is fluid and the characters are well-drawn. As for differences there are about as many as similarities : In Re-Main the main lead has a somewhat rare medical issue around which much of the  read more

In which one of the main characters falls in love with a sport they didn't previously know about. Futaba in Bakuten!! and Langa in SK8, they are doe-eyed and smitten with these new oppurtunies (and by their new friend). Both also have a tag-along cast of eccentric and unique supporting characters that make the show feel complete. Same feel-good vibe. (Both make me nostalgic for some reason, even though they are both very new anime).

I personally enjoyed Kaze ga tsuyoku fuiteru a lot more that Bakuten!! but I still found it enjoyable. It is based in a similar dormitory setting, the mc's coming in as a new member into the group and they're making a place for themselves. It's a feel good type a show. A bit tacky imo at times but it didn't bother me too much.

Although the MCs are quite different, the two animes have a similar feel. They are both incredibly freeing and stunning - whether it is soaring into the sky while doing multiple backflips, or the gorgeous, crisp sound of releasing an arrow. Gives me goosebumps when watching them perform their art!

Both animes have a cast of just men, they have charming personalities and the anime goes to their teamwork, how they just got better with the most time they spent together and how their relationships got better trought the series.

Both series revolve around gymnastics, and have passionate and hard-working main characters who wish to become better at what they do.

Both are sports anime. I don't know why, but I just feel that if you like "Bakuten" you will like "Number 24".

Another good niche sport anime, well animated, good animation and interesting story. While neither anime pushes the boat out very far and hit a lot of similar clichés, they're both are very enjoyable with pleasant characters. It's longer with 24 episodes but doesn't drag or waste your time. Well worth a watch.

Acrobatic jumping and jumping over obstacles, all while running in the race. Both anime have a similar vibe. Both series are about sports. In bakuten it's rhythmic gymnastics and in Prince of Stride they run in a relay race around the city. - Interesting and funny characters - Talented freshmen join the club - Competition in tournaments - Hard work, team work.
