The same plot where it's the bad guys whom does the work of the good guys in a very unconventional way.

Both about nobility/mcs of high status that want to make the world equal by being a common evil. Also very similar to death note in the sense that they want a better world and it is a cat and mouse chase between moriarty and sherlock holmes

The main characters are presented uniquely in both animes, having the MC as an intelligent mastermind accompanied by a brilliant detective. On the other hand, the only difference is the setting where "Talentless Nana" has a Japanese school setting while "Moriarty the Patriot" has an English historical type. These mystery series are by far one of the best mystery series I have ever watched; so, if you're looking just for something like that, then I recommend these to you!

similar setting and detective elements both play a part in the plot

These shows can raise awareness, especially to the different perceptions and moralities in life. Meaning, having to watch any of the two will lead to the same realization. Moreover, both have the same atmosphere, humor, and ambiance. Both follow a dark topic and are entertaining to watch, mainly for those who enjoy a gloomy and sinister outlook on things. If you want to know what it is, then why don't you give it a try?

Similar vibes - Both have a similar setting - Both share strong themes of mystery - Very attractive male characters - Excelent art style and good quality animation - Dark plot points

Johan and William Moriarty are extradonary characters that are not easily understood; both series are excellent at psychological thrillers and become even more than they pitch themselves as. Neither are 'mystery' nor 'horror', but rather in the details despite already being bloody dark~
