- wuxia setting - easy going mischievious protagonists - about cultivation there is blood sect that practices cultivation - lot of side characters Differences - no "rivalry" between two main protagonists - in Yi Nian Yong Heng hero finds numerous opponents that stop being them after a couple episodes Its a shame both shows arent as known as they should be. They are hidden gems

They have similar power systems, where characters power up through "cultivation". The MC in each is a lovable dickhead. A Will Eternal has better character development and world-building, while Spare Me Great Lord is more succinct and has style. Both are very fun watches.

Similar MC "geniuses" and comedic atmosphere in my opinion. Dubu Xiaoyao's MC does give off more "ecchi" vibes. YNYH is a better show IMO, but Dubu Xiaoyao is underrated and deserves more appreciation.

Bai Xiaochun is a great mix between Tanjiro and Zenitsu from Demon Slayer. Bai Xiaochun is motivated to improve like Tanjiro, but has an insane fear of death like Zenitsu.

- Both are 2D Donghua (Chinese animation) - Best part of both shows is the lovable underdog character Bai Xiaochun is very similar to the 2nd prince - Both grovel and beg an elder brother/uncle in the same tone - Both are carefree and fun loving by nature - Both use their wits to overcome obstacles/fulfill duties rather than brawn

Both have some kind of ''unnatural power'', one in the cultivation world the other one is a doctor for ghosts; They are both funny and greatly made

As I watch this, I keep being reminded of Maple. Maple had the overwhelming desire not to die and broke the game. You will enjoy it. :) Fans of Maple will love this character.

A Will Eternal (Yi Nian Yong Heng) focuses on Bai Xiaochun’s quest for immortality through rigorous cultivation and overcoming mystical challenges. Like Throne of Seal, this series highlights the protagonist’s relentless pursuit of strength and the humorous yet dangerous situations he encounters. The blend of comedy, adventure, and serious cultivation themes creates a unique narrative that explores the protagonist's growth and the obstacles he faces. A Will Eternal’s detailed cultivation techniques, dynamic characters, and epic battles reflect the fantastical elements and high-stakes adventures found in Throne of Seal, making it a captivating watch for those who enjoy complex fantasy stories.

Both are set in the wuxia/cultivation world; The main characters are easy-going, sarcastic, and funny, but also strong and you can see their growth; Art and sound are great with fantastic animation and beautiful scenes; Both are pretty funny too because of the main character's character

Main characters have a funny and easy-going approach to life, they pretend to be weak but are actually pretty strong and you can see their growth and emotions; Animation, art, and sound are fantastic in both, there are a lot of beautiful scenes; Both are in the wuxia world so there are cultivators and of course, they are all pretty
