Synopsis

The protagonist Qin Chen, who was originally the top genius in the military domain, was conspired by the people to fall into the death canyon in the forbidden land of the mainland. Qin Chen, who was inevitably dead, unexpectedly triggered the power of the mysterious ancient sword.

Three hundred years later, in a remote part of the Tianwu mainland, a boy of the same name accidentally inherited Qin Chen’s will. As the beloved grandson of King Dingwu of the Daqi National Army, due to the birth father’s birth, the mother and son were treated coldly in Dingwu’s palace and lived together. In order to rewrite the myth of the strong man in hope of the sun, and to protect everything he loves, Qin Chen resolutely took up the responsibility of maintaining the five kingdoms of the world and set foot on the road of martial arts again.

This anime is great. As others have said, the animation is a little bad sometimes. Later on I think it picks up a bit to be overall pretty good. After watching all 272 episodes with the replay of many of the scenes at the end, I am soooo sad that this anime is not likely to continue. I am totally a Qin Chen fan. Bro be walking into damn near every situation in complete control and just messing up anybody who tries to mess with him or his people. This is one of those OP MC anime that just has me like, ya that title ...

Mixed Feelings
Preliminary (461/608 eps)
Slow paced, bad animation, typical storyline.

To start with, this donghua would've been considered average or above just if it had a faster pace avoiding irrelevant data on worthless things. A good plot can ignore bad animation, and it *had* the potential.

Each episode being 8 mins, at most 1 min of actual content is there per episode. A serious lack of direction is what made it so pathetic.

The VAs did a great job when compared to similar donghua (except for the frequent 'heh!' by the condescending mc), and that might be the most bearable part of the series.

Lastly, the worst part is the conceited, sexist, impolite ...

Preliminary (37/608 eps)
This series focuses on a revenge-driven plot where the protagonist gains unexpected strength, leading to a narrative heavily centered on proving his superiority. The storyline typically features antagonistic characters underestimating the main character, who then demonstrates his remarkable abilities through prolonged and often repetitive arguments.

While the CGI is smoother than many Donghuas, it's undermined by subpar model and effect quality. The translation quality further weakens the series, making moral debates confusing.

The story is predictable. The art style is appropriate but dated, resembling that of the year 2000. Characters are mostly one-dimensional, with the exception of one antagonist who is slightly more developed, but still ...
