Recommendations

What is interesting about these two series is that while they appear to have isekai elements, neither of them should not be watched or treated as a typical isekai. * Grimgar is more oriented towards slice of life than you would expect. * 100-man is more similar to a game where you complete quests in order to clear scenarios. Those quests would get more complicated as time goes on. I believe both anime require you to be a patient watcher to understand what these shows really want to focus on. Also they are both shows where characters start from the very bottom and gradually growing.

To summarize, both anime have MCs that get stuck with pretty strange jobs/skills for an isekai world and make the best out of them.

This recommendation may seem weird, but there are aspects that are very similar. In both shows a higher entity manipulates a group of kids which leads to interesting character and social developments. In Kokoro Connect this happens through abilities that suddenly appear and allow things like reading the minds of other group members, swapping into their bodies, reverse ageing etc, while in 100-man throws seemingly randomly chosen kids into 'another world' where they have to work together to complete quests. In both cases the group and individuals get taken to their limit and develop over the course of the show. The production values in both shows are also  read more

Both series are isekai, with a weak MC who turns into an edgelord, an edgelord whose edginess totally overtakes any character they could have.

The main character is trying to fight their way out of video game to get back home.

A similar plot of MC traveling between worlds but the way it is handled and the plot are godly in comparison. No fatso turning hot overnight but here you see much of an internal change. An MC that hates the world of weaklings who drag down the world becomes more and more mature throughout the series and it really asks you some good questions on heroes and morality. Would definitely recommend if you want to cleanse yourself with a MC who WORKS harder to get stronger and THINKS SMART to win.

the best action adventure fighting isekai anime of all time

The main character has been transported into another world and it's like a video game to them while it's real life for the residents of the world in both anime.

The anime the characters think that they are in a game world whereas the world are very much real, can be called parallel world. Both of the animes are Isekai, RPG and strategic. One of them is 18+ ecchi and the other one is kinda dark fantasy.

If you go into another world or into a game will it go the way you want it to? -similarities that exist in this anime: ~comedy, harem, and a storyline that isn't what mc thinks

The character development on both shows are amazing, both male MCs think in a really unique way (they kinda think about themselves more than others*). Oh and both of them are funny and definitely worth the watch. (Not sure about the second season of 100-man no Inochi no Ue ni Ore wa Tatteiru though, it's kind of going nowhere)

kind of the same where the mc is in a game *kind of a spoiler* they both changed their personality at the end

Both shows' MCs have a character class as being a farmer, but they end up being OP and fight monsters as any other reincarnated adventurer would do, but using farming tools to do so.

Hundred Man and Re Zero are both unique isekai because the main characters are not extremely overpowered like in most isekai. Instead the main characters are pretty normal boys who are transported in a fantasy game world where they will respawn; so you will see the MC suffer a lot as they die (Re Zero is a lot darker though, Hundred Man is more comedic). They use their power to respawn to beat much more powerful foes than themselves. For the rest they are pretty much lousy isekai anime. Also both MCs have many females surrounding him; both MC are cringe, though Re Zero's MC is  read more

Both shows focus on the main cast solving issues around them.

Similarities - Both worlds have a world where MC gets sent in a game world - Mcs have to solve the quest/puzzle to leave the world - Both series are high school Differences - Dimension high school is in real life and CGI VS standing on a million lives is in 2D - MCs in dimension are male VS MCs in million lives are female and one male

Multiple character’s have questionable cynical evaluations of people in 7 seeds much like million lives mc’s extreme pessimism and almost stoic evaluations of what a human life is worth. Both feature a world ending plot point as seen within the first 2 episodes of both series and unsurprisingly shows a semi realistic representation of human nature with the occasional betrayals, murders and devious tricks

S: Both MC transport to another world Both MC have overpowered skills Both MC have female group (harem) Both MC are cold/hide their emotion D: 100-man is gaming world vs Seiken is fantasy world 100-man is modern day MC vs Seiken is fantasy day MC

This two anime I would say have quite in common. While starting with the obvious that they are both Isekai they also tend to be on the darker side of that genre. Making it intriguing since most anime like them normally starts with a lighter therm. They also have a similar protagonist as it looks at first like they couldn't care a bit about the world they entered and both have questionable values that we as a viewer tend to question our own morality after.
