Love Live! Superstar!!

Both are idol animes about the main group finding the stardom while they have a little dosis of drama, however i have to clarify that even when Idolish7 is mostly "female oriented", i think it's a pretty enjoyable show because is genuinely good and funny, i don't find it cringe as well so i think everyone who likes love live can like idolish7 too 

Both have singing and music as core aspects, as well as a similar style of comedy. Also, a number of characters are alike in design as well as how they act. For example: Heanna Sumire -> Itsushiro Reimi Tang Keke -> Morishima Hibiki 

Both involve cute girls trying hard to find their passion 

Very similar structure: A Place Further than the Universe looks at the journey of 4 teenage girls making the most of their lives by doing something they collectively want to do (go on an Antarctic Expedition). It's a wholesome slice of life that shows the audience it's okay to do something on a whim and make the most of your adolescence. Love Live! Superstar!! focuses on 5 girls who come together under one unified hobby (to be the best school idols and make a name for themselves through their love for music, performance, dance, etc). It's also a slice of life that focuses on the group dynamic of a band of cute anime girls trying to figure out how to be the best they can be While the plots are different I'd say that both shows capture the audience in a VERY SIMILAR way and the group dynamic is almost identical in both shows. If you liked one, you'll like the other! Also, while the music in A Place Further than the Universe takes a slight backseat in the show, it's a phenomenal OST and it's filled with BANGERS.
