Both these shows are moe isekai anime. Although Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear is more slice of life and moe than Max Out My Defense, which is more action focused. But they're both very light-hearted most of the time and have some yuri vibes to add to it. 

They are both VRMMO comedy about a OP main character. 

They are both VRMMORPG power fantasy but moe. 

-in both the protagonist starts in a VRMMO game -in both the protagonist is always getting more and more powerful, even without wanting to -both have a history full of magic, adventure and unexpected scenes 

Both happened in a VR MMORPG. Both have stupidly OP MC who basically can do anything Both MC slowly build up relationships with others and hold leadership roles.  

Series in which our main female protagonist goes to another world of some sort and ends up being overpowered/super strong. In this world, they meet and befriend many different characters and from there, the story plays out in a wholesome and relaxed manner for the most part  

-Both are Isekai anime. -Both MCs are overpowered in their own ways, but both wish for a laid-back life. -Both involve meeting many different characters. -Both fit the "Cute Girls Doing Cute Things" theme. -Both MCs help nearby villagers with whatever they can do for them. 

First of all, the great similarity of both of these anime is that both protagonists are chill and don't really care about fighting or anything, so their main goal would be just to have a nice and peaceful life, but of course, not everything goes to plan and they have to face many foes considered strong in that world, but is absolutely weak compared to them. They're both isekais and both protagonists are overpowered and gain friends as their life goes on. 

Both MC is extremely Overpowered. Both Anime is quite wholesome with not much ongoing plot. Both MC also use their ability to make life around them better,  

- Wholesome characters - Secretly OP MC that doesent want to be OP but just IS - Friendship goals - Somewhat relatable 

Both are super cute wholesome lightharted isekai shows with a female protagonist and mostly female cast 

They're both moe isekai anime that are more focus on the moe than the isekai. Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear is more light-hearted than Average Abilities but they both have the same vibe and feeling to them. 

Both have cute, overpowered anime girls isekai’d to a fantasy world. They're also mostly lighthearted with a dose of seriousness (With Average Abilities having a bit more of it). 

both have veteran vrmmo player isekai one to a new world with just an overpowered bear suit and the other to the game world 200 year in the game future after the game both are laid back isekai with few dark scenes. both try to avoid in the limelight  

you can relax watching this and both animes are in game, both mc have very nice voice actress that make you want listen to theirs voice more and it's good comedy so far 

Both features overpowered female where they are stuck in their VRMMORPG world with no way to leave.  

Stuck in a video game Isekais. Chill and lighthearted; plot/subplots are excuses to show off the abilities of overpowered protagonists and amazed reactions of NPCs. No dark/disturbing undertones. 

Both are wholesome Isekai focusing on helping others with their unique powers. 

Main character gets isekai'ed and decides to open a business thanks to their knowledge of their old world In Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear, the MC opens a restaurant In By the grace of the gods, the MC opens a laundry (but also brings quite a lot of recipes as well) 

Both feature cute, selfless main protagonist that become adventurers and help people out. One opens a restaurant (Kuma Bear) and one opens a laundromat. 

feel good isekai with a feel good MC that mostly strives to help others. cute characters and fun personalities 

Both Rimuru and Yuna is quite similar: Both got isekai’ed into a foreign world Both use their knowledge from their previous world to help others around them Both end up earning a lot of respect from others.

Girls that are playing a fantasy video game in which other players fail to realize how strong they really are due to them having a cute appearance and being small.  

this is a isekai anime with an main character that seem weak but is actually super OP and get lots of waifus VRMMORPG style and a relaxing and outgoing plot 

Both features MC who got transferred into a fantasy world, where they are extremely OP at the start and slowly learn new skills to make them even more OP. Both MCs help others while not expecting anything in return. Both MCs also help Nobel/kings and eventually become friends with them. In my opinion, both are relatively similar. If you want a light-hearted and wholesome anime, this is the anime for you.
