These two carry a similar energy that longs for human redemption

Deals with similar themes of harmony and conflict between humans and artificial intelligence. Both have a SOL vibe to them and are more laid-back than you'd expect them to be. There are a few key differences, however. Eden is situated in a world where humanity is close to extinct, while that's hardly the case in Even no Jikan, where humans are still everywhere and live alongside androids. Eden goes far more in-depth on the sci-fi dystopian angle, while Eve tries to center itself around its cast

Was reminded of Origin: Spirits of the Past while watching EDEN. Girl awakens from cryo-sleep, fated to heal the world and amend the relationships have with nature. Somewhat similar post dystopian world, technology/nature taking over human settlements. Both involve a lot of mecha/tech/military and battles. A lot of lore regarding the past of the world and how it became "dystopian" and how humans are involved in its destruction and the forces that seek to destroy humans to protect nature itself. Both vaguely bring about the same feeling and mood, but follow very distinct storylines. I'd recommend watching these based on the type of worldbuilding and lore  read more

Deca-Dence and Eden explore a similar subject - the existence of humanity after its near extinction and its relationship with advanced artificial intelligence. Eden has a more simple story given its shorter length and its twists are predictable, but it is still enjoyable to watch. Deca-Dence has a more inventive storyline that borrows from familiar anime and sci-fi concepts in a new way. Although the world building in both anime has some critique on modern society, this is not a fully developed theme compared to Wall-E for example.
