Both music anime with a focus on DJ/singing

Brought to you by the same producer, Bushiroad Inc. Poppin'Party = Happy Around. Similar plot and character development. Similar band formation methods. Art style is nearly identical due to the same production studio. Both franchises introduce other groups that you can delve into by downloading their respective games on Android/iOS. TLDR if you like one franchise you would like the other. For BanG Dream, start with season 1 for story purposes.

Because they are cute girls school idol shows. Actually, that's not the main reason. The more I watch 'D4DJ', the more I think this anime is like a love letter to the original 'Love Live'. 'D4DJ' feels like a big 'Love Live' reference; drawing significant influence from it, while also managing to have its own charm and spin on the idol genre. If you don't mind the CG animation, then you'll find more of the same wholesome idol fun.

If you enjoy D4DJ, you will love BanG Dream. Bushiroad is one of the biggest producers when it comes to rhythm games. Both have their own game as well. The animation is quite similar, the music is beautiful listen to in both. The characters are similar and very lovely.

K-On focuses on four high school girls who joined the Light Music Club by force, passion, and interest. D4DJ First Mix focuses on four high school girls who are impressed and have love and passion for DJ Music and decides to form a DJ group/unit. Both anime are musical and have bonding moments where in K-On, they try to have fun and do music to stop the club from disbanding. And in D4DJ, they also try to have fun and increase their skill in producing music to become a great DJ group. These anime are really cute and wholesome to watch with MCs being airheads  read more

Pretty much the same concept with the biggest difference being djing in D4DJ and cheerleading in Anima Yell

The girls get acquainted as the plot develops, while striving for a dream in the anime D4DC First Mix, their dream is to perform on a huge stage, while winning the audience with their songs, dances and beautiful voice. In the anime Yoru no Kurage wa Oyogenai, their goal and dreams are almost the same, the differences are to gain 100,000 thousand while captivating the audience so much that everyone would gasp with delight. Unlike the anime Yoru no Kurage wa Oyogenai in the anime D4DC First Mix perform and play all together for that in the anime Yoru no Kurage wa Oyogenai  read more

Both have heavy music themed plots, as well as an upbeat urban setting and stylization to it as well.

In both shows a person aspires to be a DJ, even though they know nothing of DJing at first. Both have very bad animation style (Tonkatsu is very cartoony and D4DJ is CG) and the music isn't very good compared to what most Western DJs play. But if you are interested in the DJ culture and want to know how they work, both anime are worth watching. In Tonkatsu most of the cast is male, while in in D4DJ the cast is female and much bigger.

Both series have really nice music and they focus more on the characters rather than strong plot. In the good way. Love Live and D4DJ focus on showing what group of friends can do together and also it highlights wholsome character backstories.

both are focused on music themed storylines and are both part of multimedia projects as well too.

Similarities: -4 girl club group. -Girls aiming to get to the top. -Set in a school. -Has one awkward girl whose the main factor in the series. Dissimilarities: D4DJ - Awkward girl is the one who forms the club. -Anime's genre is music and shoujo. Iwa Kakeru - Club already existed and all it needs is one more and that's were ackward girl comes in. -Anime/manga's genre is sports and slice of life.
