Another show focusing on School Idols aiming for the national competition. If you liked the characters and music of Love Live the characters of Re:Stage are all very likable and it has a similar musical style to µ's

There is no doubt that Re:Stage! Dream Days♪ has a lot similarities to Love Live. If you didn't watch LL yet, you definitely need to! Otherwise you will miss something really great, especially if you love school idols and their music!
Since Love Live! School Idol Project is the first series of the whole LL, I will only reccommend this one. Of course LL Sunshine and the movies are similar too. The watching order for LL is: Love Live! School Idol Project (2 seasons) -> LL The School Idol Movie -> LL Sunshine (2 seasons) -> LL Sunshine The School Idol Movie: Over the Rainbow [(-> Perfect Dream Project when???)]
(plus OVA)

In LL we have the an idol group of nine members instead of six. They all have the goal to win the nationals. Prism Stage and Love Live. They fight and work hard to achieve their goal. Watching them makes you happy and you wanna enjoy their music totally! read more

Both have a similar goal at the start, to become a School Idol.
In the Beginning, both clubs struggle to get club officially established and find new members.
Ultimately, they use their performance to attract club members. 
Both aspire to win the most prestigious competition in the country. (For Love Live is... Love Live, Dream Days is Prism Stage)

Both Mana and Miho:
Transferred from another school in order to avoid being an idol/Senshadou.
Are extremely skilled in being an idol/Senshadou.
Have an older sister who is significantly better than Mana and Miho 

Both Anime is in a school setting with the cast engaging in Extracurricular activities.

Both features high school girls forming a music group (For Re:Stage! is school idol, for BanG Dream is a band)

Both features MCs (Mana and Kasumi) who inspire their groupmate with their passion for performing. 

Both Anime is rather similar if you like one of them you will definitely like the other.

Both feature a group of female students participle in the club activity. They receive strong opposition from the school council president to the point of active sabotage. However, she changes her mind and ends up joining the club instead.

Both animes are female idol themed, start from nothing and build their way up. Re:stage! is more underdog development, and 22/7 shows more work as successful idols, but they're both fun and wholesome. Just a heads up, 22/7 has a slightly odd premise lol, sort of a mystery side theme.

One of the best CGDCT shows is definitely K-On! The music is great and the girls are so adorable. Although K-On! is about a band and not idols, you should totally watch it if you haven't yet. 
The girls are too cute in both animes.
