The music still the main theme for both of the series, but animation and the drama in the plot gets better, their relationships grow even more and you're gonna know more about them. Both have amazing memorable moments and the direction is sweet.

The season 1 are a good introduction to this story, but in season 2 things get more interesting, from their character development, the character relationships, the direction of the anime as well. Also there's new interesting characters that you're gonna love for sure

Both are great upgrades from their respective predecessors, both also develop some characters that weren't talk about before, you're definitely gonna love even more the second season than the first one in both animes.

Both series' are idol shows that are more drama focused, rather than focusing more on 'idol things' like music and dancing etc. They both also show a lot of personal drama, as opposed to conflicts within the group More so, both series' have overarching plots/lore that goes beyond the simplicity of basic idol shows

Both are the 2nd season of idol series', in which this season is more focused on drama, rather than the buildup/promotion of the group (which was done in their respective 1st seasons)
